As many marvel at the function of a Roblox Mobile Site, developed to help the roblox users look at their messages while on the go, there are many features only the full site can provide. For a start everything on the mobile site is much bigger, this is great for those of us whom cannot see small text on our mobile phones, whom cannot see the pictures in the catalog more clearly. Yet with bigger comes problems, the mobile site limits itself depending on which phone is being used. For example my IPod touch limits the catalog viewing to 3 and a half products in portrait view, but when I go to landscape view the site will limit me to 3 products. My actual mobile is not much better. With the full site; however, I am in the luxury of seeing a full whole line of products, and I am able to zoom in to see what the text says and what the picture looks like. Scrolling is becoming a thing of the new, Blackberry phones allow scrolling to happen easily using the track pad, while touch screens allow you to scroll using just a swipe of your finger. But come on roblox, you've taken it a bit far? As mentioned in the above paragraph, in order to see the products available in the catalog you will have to scroll continuously. This is much the same for every other part of the mobile site, including the groups tabs and messages tab. Some people state that this is no different to using the full roblox site on your phone or on your computer, yet when using the full site on both, scrolling is a lot simpler, and there's less of it. All of this is under shadowed by the major part in missing out key functions. When using the mobile site, it is impossible to view your own profile, change clothes, and most importantly, view the forums. I don't know about you, but I like to know if anyone has replied to my forum posts, as well as if people have viewed them. But the one, huge, most significant problem with the Roblox Mobile Site, is this: It's Facebook's mobile site. Changes in the colour, text size, purpose of the site, and content, are overshadowed by the design. Everything about the mobile site has been copied from that of Facebook’s. The Log in screen is literally the same, the tab to go to the menu, is identical, apart from the fact that the menu happens to be different. Roblox have failed to design their own mobile site, like they have designed that of the Full Roblox Site. Whether this is to change some time in the near future, or whether the mobile site will remain a cheap knock off edition of Facebook, is yet to be seen.

Ouch. At the same time, you do have some valid points here. Vlad or I will try to respond soon.

Do you have suggestions for improvements (other than missing features) ?

Like I said, the main problem with the roblox mobile site is the fact that it's a bog standard copy of the facebook mobile site. I recommend the login stays as it is, but have a look around at shopping websites whom have mobile internet sites for their users. That way you can vary the ideas, the catalog would look majorly different because it isn't like the same format the whole way round. My own suggestion, for the catalog, would be the pictures, slightly smaller so they fit side by side across the screen, but without their names, just the image and the price. It would save a bit of the effort scripting it all. Plus people by the items based on looks, not their names. Once clicked on, then the name can be shown, with all the details etc. But after selecting to go to the catalog it should just be pictures and prices. But again, don't settle for facebook's idea. Look around, and pick and choose ideas to incorporate. Internet shopping sites like amazon generally have a good mobile site for their products, the same idea could be incorporated into the inventory section as well. Over all I don't think it's an useless mobile site, I think it's great roblox has moved on and realised that there are some people who do use roblox from their phones. But there are improvements to be made that may increase the user friendliness of the site. Yours Truly, TMAN008

Ok, so roblox is using Jquery Mobile That still doesn't change the fact that there is so much more that can be done to improve the roblox mobile site so it will act better than that of the current version.
