Looking at it from my point of view (Someone who has not even looked at CoD, let alone played it.), I think something like this would be interesting. However, as DaR said, it would have to be for ALL gear. The potential prospect of a mystery box is good, but there is a large # of things you left out.
Cost?
Limited(U)?
Time limit?
Basic look for the gear?
