For ads:
Users that copy ads, cannot upload them if the pixels match those of another published ad.
It will not stop all the copied ads, but will stop most of them.
For games:
Simple. REMOVE the copy-lock feature. This is the main cause of copied games, and should be removed.
Sure, it might be cool to let others experiment and learn from are games, but it's being abused more then it's being used for it's original purpose. It should be removed just like the ambassador program was removed.
For everything else:
I've played many games in my live. And most of the moderators on those games ban for copying. It's a big problem, and big problems need to be confronted and dealt with.
This will be sent to Sorcus through one of his friends. Sign the petition by posting below.

Put my name in the bottom corner of every thing I copy.
NOT COPING GUYS! |

Removing the copy-locked feature won't do any good. They can still publish the game as a model, unless next you're going to say models need to be removed too. Anyway, I support the ad thing.

@Ro
They can't make the model, without copying the place first.
But thanks for the support. :)

A nice help, for clothing at least, would just be the mods cracking out their ban hammers.
Seriously, if just looking at the article of clothing isn't enough, does the creation date not seal the deal?

Is the original of those three so hard to find? |

@Benzo
If this idea went through, you would be able to report this user and get him banned, and his copied items CD'ed.

Even still - it's not like I DIDN'T already report that, long ago, multiple times. In the end, I ended up getting a warning for "personal attack"
Not to hate on the mods, I mean, without them this site would be utter chaos, but perhaps the ban hammer needs to be taken out of it's sheath a little bit more often. |

Removing the Copylock doesn't solve much at all, most people hack into it, then make it a free model. I've seen it happen myself half a dozen times. Other than that, great idea. |

@Waste
Then they should get it patched..
Thanks for the support:)

Why did you just party me asking if I would look at it? Just wait for posts, dude. |

@peanut
I sent you a Party Invite, because i saw your thread, and wondered what you thought of mine.
You rudely said "you wasted my time" and left the party.
What if i was someone famous? Would you look at my thread then? Next time, before you tell someone they wasted there time, think about who you might be talking to, because this isn't a main account.
(P.S. If you were to continue, read my thread, and give me an honest opinion, you would have gotten a reward.)

You don't simply "patch" exploits. They keep finding vulnerable parts in Roblox's security. |
|
|
...and no, you can't fix all vulnerable areas. That would take years and years. |
|

@800
If they work hard enough, they can easily create a safer system pointed towards copying.

It's easy enough to change one pixel in an ad. Voila, brand new one.
Removing the copylock feature is a bit overkill. If people are so worried about their games getting copied they can just take the extra few seconds to check if its copylocked or not. Not that hard. |
|
|
@800
Actually, it wouldn't. If you'd like to show proof of this, go ahead, I'll read it and support it if you provide something valid. :)
And putting that aside, it would still stop most of the copiers, anyways.

@The
No. Just no. I've provided information about both of those, and I'm not going to repeat myself.

@ 800
Not always. It took one patch and now ticket bots aren't a problem. Sure, there may be a few individuals out there who still found a way to work it, but now it's not 25% of the population using ticket bots.
So yeah, they may never block something off 100% but they may as well close the flood gates as much as they possible can; slowing the flood down to a small trickle. |

The proof is: This is a kids game, not a government supercomputer holding classified files. The security of this is worse than a snail's shell. That, and there are different kinds of exploits. There are more than 100 sections in which an exploiter can acces through, and each type has at least 50 vulnerable areas. That's 500 different areas that can be potentially exploited. Then, it takes about a month to fix each one thoroughly. Roblox would need to hire thousands of people to fix everything (that is known, because 99% of "leaks" are currently unkown to Roblox), which would require tremendous pay, causing them to raise prices, making less people play, and then bye bye Roblox. It's a long-shot, I know, but it WOULD eventually happen. |
|
|
@800
Thousands of people? I'm sorry if i come across rude, but that's quite illogical, nobody's going to hire more than a couple people to help fix an exploit. The rest of your post relates to this or is just an opinion.
The catch is, there is no facts to how long to patch would take, but it's CERTAINLY not going to take years.

For the ads suggestion.
All you would have to do is draw a tiny line that no one will notice unless they say you draw it. Still to easy to get around for all those leaches out there. Maybe if you couldn't copy ads in the first place. |
