This involves a lot of science. It says that this stunt could "provide scientists with valuable information for next-generation spacesuits and techniques that could help astronauts survive accidents."

Exactly what california said. Mark, you gotta get more common sense before you go posting in one of my threads

Theres two things that can happen here: 1.Science explodes with new tech and we can basejump from space 2.We lose a man to science.

#80096884Sunday, October 14, 2012 5:02 PM GMT

@Mjo Either way we would get the information needed to send more people into space for a longer time or a faster time.

MightyBuzz
#80097159Sunday, October 14, 2012 5:05 PM GMT

@Mjo He won't be killed. His last jump was from 97,000 ft. He's just going a little bit above that. Yes, he will break the speed of sound. But, he won't die.

And this is why the U.S. is in the situation it's in, we spend money on pointless things.

We would be the first to send man to jump back to Earth to impove tech that we can use to bring ourselves to the moon. Perhaps live on it.

Mark, Red Bull spent the money and probably raised it. I don't know for sure if the government payed for this. I kind of don't think they did..

Not just to the moon. We would improve spacesuits for people to go further on.
