For most Sci-Fi games, we are on a ship in space. But when you go out into space, you fall instead of float. I think ROBLOX should add a new insertable object "Mass" into the game engine, so if the model has mass, it has gravity inside/outside it depending on the value. It would be amazing. And, the object with mass also floats, if it is not anchored. Please show support, my sci-fi brethrin!

Simple: Script.

@Spooky Much more difficult to implement in Lua than in C++

I believe that this can be scripted, but I also believe it is a rather hacky method that doesn't exactly work as intended. Support.

Support I see some of you are saying "script it." Well the point of this idea is a faster easier way to control gravity other than scripting...

Even if this is scriptable (I highly doubt it), 99% of scripters wouldn't even be able to implement this in their places due to the sheer complexity of the script. Also, all of the black holes i've seen dont even suck the players in. They just create a conveyor on the brick (ground) in the general direction of the black hole, and then create invisible bricks that kill the player and then drag them into the black hole where their body parts are deleted. If you are behind the black hole you will continue to be pulled behind it instead of toward it. If you jump, you escape it's gravity. Not what the OP suggested. And before you even say scriptable, you should be able to easily script the suggestion and then show them the model as proof. Otherwise, you should just leave; if you still don't want to support. And I support this. - Life is unfair. But you don't have to take part in making it unfair. -

but so is terrain. terrain is scriptable. and,why do you always have to say scriptable, when its extremely hard to script? how about you say no support, and move on. support.

I can't script at all. I'm suggesting this to ROLBOX

It currently isn't very scriptable without glitches and not being able to walk with it. It would be easier if roblox would at least unlock the gyro in humanoids, this and some other things will be scriptable without glitches like that.

Support, this would be a lot easier that scripting! It is also better for the people who can't script!

It's easily scriptable by easily editing a lava brick script with the correct lines. besides, having the whole game have lower gravity will be bland.

@Riordin. If it's easily scriptable, as you stated, then show me you're script of it.

People say it's extremely hard to script... LOLNO. > get gravity coil script > add invisible bricks to the game that fill rooms inside a building in space > change gravity coil script a bit so you don't need gear and so no and so on > the gravity script only activates if you're not touching the brick > use the event TouchEnded

It looks like very few of you understood. The idea is to be able to easily set the centre of gravity, so that all objects in a radius are drawn to it. Simple physics... i beat an elephant at poker

So you mean like...SMG gravity where you can walk around a round object and not fall off? This is a very debatable thing that I once thought of...but I can see a few problems with it. 1. Lag maybe? I'm not sure though. 2. This would require making a whole new set of physics. Which I'm not sure is worth it. And would probably need to be updated with current Roblox physics. I don't think the Roblox staff has that much time on their hands. 3. The limitation of putting a flat object on a round surface. 4. It might become to complex for some people to use.

I support, it could be scripted but that would be pretty hard.

What I mean is, that the higher you go, the less gravity their is to everything, but objects of large mass in areas with no gravity have their own gravity so, say, a starship in space, it would float arround in space and you would still be able to walk through the hallways, evin if up-side down.
