A lot of you may be wondering what we've been up to over the past few weeks. From reading through comments, it seems that several people are frustrated with the recent lack of “Substance” updates for Apocalypse Rising. So I'd like to take some time to explain to you what we have been doing, and why I've been making so many “Performance” updates.
For those of you who do not know me, it's nice to meet you. I’m Keth. I've scripted Apocalypse Rising from the ground up, and I'll be the first to admit that when I started out, I wasn't the best. Throughout the process of creating Apocalypse Rising, I learned a lot of ways to optimize scripts and utilize them more effectively. A lot of the code from the early days of the game (zombie spawning, inventory system, etc.) is quite outdated in comparison to the more recent additions to the game.
Because of this, the game hasn't been running as well as it could. If you've ever looked in the bottom-left hand corner of the screen, you've seen a small piece of text that plainly tells you “Speed” and a number. What it's actually keeping track of is how fast the server is running, and our goal is to keep that number as close to 100 as possible. Over the past few updates, I've optimized dozens of different pieces of code, from the inventory system, to zombie spawning, to the hunger and thirst meters. And it's been working; we've seen that number steadily climb.
So why are we focusing on game performance, all of a sudden? Well, besides just bettering player experience in general, we’re freeing up resources for… other updates. And yes, in this case, “other updates” does refer to vehicles. When we add in vehicles, we will need them to run as smoothly as possible to make the game experience immersive and exciting.
So when you see the next update and it’s just another one of those “fake” performance updates, keep in mind that these small updates are going to add up, and because of them we're moving closer and closer to that next big update. Are we there, yet? Not quite. But you can bet that when we do get there, it’s going to be great, and every little thing is going to count.

The map is really flat and no nice small hills and not really any trees like in Day Z, Are you able to make that happen? |

I agree with Ghostrider7789- Now that I think about it, the map IS flat and it should have hilly sections.. I also want the map to be bigger, not nessecarily more towns and areas, just for the map to be bigger.. To make being a bandit more fun! >:) |

You could like add Desert eagles Raging Bulls and Ak-74's and 47 and Glock 18 instead of the Makarova's |

true i used to do that with one of my places exept someone hacked it so no on ever got on it. It took me 4 months just to make fail of a copy for it |

I think that you all are loseing brain power 1st killing is part of the game if you don`t like it don`t play in day z you get killed even more often 2nd markovs are the starting gun in this game cuz thats the starting gun in day Z 3ed he most likely will only add guns from day Z and some like snipers will be rare as your not going to find one in a random guys house and 4th I do want to say some things I want that will FIT the game a new clothing set if you kill a set ammount of players that saves with your guy like with guns it will go away if you die but can still come back and I just think everybody wants this useing you own char with the option of cuztimiztion and also I hate the vests I use robloxian 2.0 body and it looks crappy on that body (no do not turn this into oh just make them all block body I`d hate that more) |

I like that all but the, "I'm an 0DDer and like the 2.0 or," "It makes me look fat."
No he made it block because that's the original body that most people use or because not everybody is BC. There're more Block bodies than 2.0 or 3.0. Now stop complaining and play the game. (If it really annoys you take it off.) |
