I stared at the sign for Platform 9 1/2. Taking one more step would lead me the farthest from home i've ever been. Who am I kidding, I've never had a real home anyways. I saw many other people, some older, some younger, and some the same age as me.This was it. |

I stare longingly as the taxi drives past. I wanted so bad just to hail a cab and go back to my little, three-room apartment. I would leap into my mom's arms and never let go, like when I was little and my mom had to pry me off her. I didn't want to come to a " special" school. But mom insisted, and all I had to do was take one step and I would be out of mom's reach, into the arms of this new school.

l look around warily, hostile and alone. All these people are untrustworthy. They'll have agendas of their own. l have to watch them.

Summer
I put a hand on Drakki's shoulder. She's tense.
"You know it will be fine. We can protect ourselves."
"But all these people..."
"Relax. C'mon, let's talk to someone." l begin leading her over to a person. She digs in her heels, but l drag her along anyway.
"Come ON, Drakki, she's just as nervous as we are-"
"It's a ploy!" |

I look around and see everybody around campus. |

I start muttering random words. "THAT'S IT!!!!!!" I scream and end my breakdown. I go through. The campus was big, extremly large actually. The only thing I want to do is find my room and curl up with my game-boy.But I don't want to ask anyone, nobody I could ever trust is here. |

I skid to a stop in front of the kid.
