screamo is post-hardcore with screaming vocals
not the screaming you probably think right away
post-hardcore being influenced by emo punk like Rites of Spring and Embrace
metalcore is watered down metal with hardcore influences
deathdcore is heavily watered down death metal with hardcore influences
metal and screamo also have no relation BTW |

keep in mind, i'm not a big screamo expert, I don't know a ton of bands, but I definitely know that a lot of bands everyone calls screamo are just usually metalcore, and what actual screamo is |
