Actual place: http://www.roblox.com/Immortales-Fatis-Chapter-One-place?id=68230874
Testing place: http://www.roblox.com/Map-Test-place?id=79156240
This project has been going on for months now, off and on, and we are running out of ideas for places such as towns. :/
So yeah, post ideas if you want.
The actual place link is for the actual place, the one that all the finished material made in the testing place is put. So, if you want to see the latest work, go to the testing place.
Thanks! :3 |

Well I'll look at it when I'm on my laptop, and give better suggestions after... But for now, consider reading my RPG creation guide, more so about the scenery and map sections:

Well, the GUIs and CameraManipulation is great. However the only thing holding you back is the Terrain Voxels... It is *way* too limited for any RPG. So consider making your map out of bricks... |

@ninjasheep
Yeah, I know we might have to make some things out of bricks, but for the most part I like how the terrain looks. :3
And thanks, I spent forever making the GUIs and scripting, I'm glad people are liking my work! :3
Also, we are mostly looking for ideas on new towns/places of that sort. |

That's fine. However I will let you know that Terrain has a 512x300x512 area to work with... Also, the classic enemy follow scripts tend to screw up a lot with the Voxels. So unless you're planning on making an advanced pathfinding script, people might exploit the screw up for free kills.
Also, read my RPG creation guide (I posted the link in my first post) for ideas from the Map and Scenery sections. |

I know that the terrain has a limit, but so far it hasn't been too much of a problem, I have the width as far as it can go, and we still have plenty of room.
Also, I might have to do something about that at some point, if it becomes a real problem, but thus far I haven't had a problem with enemies traversing the terrain.
I did read your map and scenery sections, and we have been thinking about adding tree's for awhile, but we want to make sure it's a tree that looks good and that we can have a bunch of without lag. But, we hadn't thought of bushes/rocks before.
As for a swamp, hadn't thought about that either, we might add one in. :3 |

Alright. If you've thought about using Terrain all the power to you. It is your game after all :P
As for trees, a simple 3-4 part tree is fine as far as I'm concerned. No need to get overly detailed with things like that. If you're worried about lag however, consider wilderness cells that only load models that are close to the player. They are really good for RPGs. Look in my models from Wilderness cells, they're made by Maxattax. It's worth a look into them, even if you don't use it.
Good luck with it! |

Oh! I also forgot to mention how much respect you gained from me for using Greek tragedies, more specifically Oedipus Rex in the game as an Easter egg. Kudos to you for such wise knowledge of Latin and Greek culture.
And I don't give out kudos to just anyone... |
