Out of all my enjoyments of gameing. Age of Empires is one of my top 3. Yet i am suprisenly shocked to be 12 Months since my last age of emires thread. Yet no menchion of it. So Now I'm createing a Thread for all the Empire series (Yes it includes Age of mythlogoy as well).
Whats Age of Empires - Its a Real time stragy game (RTS) where you use Stragy to defect your foe. Its very basic to play. Its also one of the most populaer RTS games worldwide. Age of empires was a bit broing was was Extremly good at the time. Age of empires 2 was very good. One of the better RTS games I've played. but age of Empires 3....ESO has gone COMPLETLY overkill on how fun age of Empires was. Age of Empires 3 was way to fun and got me playing it all the time (Until ESO got hotheaded and baned everyone.)
Yeah. I'm an Age of Empires nerd :D. I"m a big fan of the Series.

Gezz. Thats happaned to me alot of times with AOE...But i always said (Forget it) and used another 200 Euros to buy another copy. |

What are the Basics? - Theres usefully a todel of 8 or more Civs. Each has units and Technolgies. Some are better at Defence while others are better at offesinve, booming, Etc. Out of These you must Gather Resources. Train Villager.s Lots of them. However don't go overboard. You want a Strong Ecomnomy so this way you can keep a Consant flow of Researching Teconoligies and Training units.
Food - Most imotant Reasourc.e And Most abundant. This is Required to age, Train units, and Reasearch some Technologies.
Wood - Mainly required for Buildings. Chop down trees to gather Wood. This can also be used in technolgies and some Units.
Gold (Coin) - Least Importaunt reasource early. Most important Later. This is Required to Train Units but mostly reasearch Technologies.
Stone (Reasource was recoved In AOE3) - Used for Fortresses and Main Defsive Position. Not to Important. But its very very rare. So its quite worth it in a way.
Export (AOE3) - Reasource for asain civs. To get Export you must Gather reasources. Which can be any reasource. Meanwhile you will slowly gather a steady Income of Export. Use export to Buy Allies from Europe and Recivce Units, Buildings, Etc. You Cannot Sell or Tribuie Export
Population - This Reasource is Annoying. You can't Gather it. ts how many Units you can have at a time. You can Increase this by building houses. However after awhile you will reach your population limt, then building Houses is by far Worthless.
AOE - 50
AOE2 - 75
AOM - 300
AOE3 - 200
These are a MAIN Population limts. In some cases. They can be Changed. |

I understand. AOE is my favorite RTS game but theres still a few good ones out there. Such as Empire Earth or Rise of Nation. But AOe is the best (in my opinion. |

Age of Empires is pretty cool. I like Rome Total War a lot more though. |

Total War is quite Broken =/. The AL is even stuupider than Any other and Tradeing is a joke |

British (AOE3)
Britian has one of the Best Ecomnomies in the game. Not only that They're units are powerful and Thier ships are beasts. So whats their Down side? Well They lack a varity of Units. Only haveing 1 Infantry Unit that really gets Upgrades (Out of 3. 2 if you send Yeomen). However Musketers from Britain are very Powerful and make an excellent Anti cav unit. The Bigest pro of Britain is the ecomnomy. They boom massivebly fast annd its hard to stop a booming Britain. Their Settlers Train 1.5 seconds faster and everytime you build a house. A Settler pops out. However the Houses are somewhat Expensive. Not only that. Theres a limt. Even Exculdgeing these Factors. Britain has great Livestock shipments and good Ecomnomic shipments. |
