"Oh sure! Leave the cat behind!" He calls. |

Jack
Jack continued to watch Pinocchio, intent on hearing the rest of this story.
"And so," the puppet continued. "The girl, Rapunzel, made a proposal. She vowed to give Gepeto and myself a life of luxury if I helped her. I did so because I believed her. It hadn't crossed my mind that she could have just been using me.
"For months, Rapunzel practiced arcane magic, and I waited. Unfortunately, I had no knowledge of her plot; she declined any requests for an explanation. And when the spell was cast... I was baffled, I really was! This wasn't what I wanted, not for me or anyone else! But Rapunzel, she... she was consumed by greed. And I couldn't stop her, but what can I say? I'm a puppet, not a magician! Renewing Utopia was beyond my capability. And, to make matters worse, Rapunzel is holding Gepeto against his will. I must serve her, or otherwise she will kill my father in cold blood. When I saw this kid-" Pinocchio gestured toward Jack with his wooden limb. "-climbing down from the sky above - which I, at first, thought was a hallucination - I informed Rapunzel. So she sent me after him, to gather information. That's why I'm here. We are all victims of a dastardly curse that's ruined our lives, and we are all fated to live in this forsaken world called Dystopia."
The puppet twiddled his thumbs nervously. Perhaps he was worried, not for what Belle and the others might do to him, but for how the witch Rapunzel might react. |

Jill
"Liar! I won't tell you about Jack! I will protect my brother!" I writhe, trying to free myself from the bush. |
|

Fisherman
I continue on my merry walking way. SO distracted I trip, scattering my items around, some flying through the trees. (Please crash into a character in the trees.) |
|
|
Jill
My head snaps around in response to the loud crashing noise to my left. Another person, maybe even a bear! A bear would eat me instantly. |
|
|
The Pied Piper
I begin walking, slower then usual. After a while some flies out of the trees and hits my walking stick. It flies out of my hand and I fall to the ground. I look over at the item. It as a fishing pole... |

(GREAT SUCCESS!)
Fisherman
I get up, rubbing my head. I look around, and collect the things closest to me. I then look around and realize I can't find my fishing rod. I begin searching for it. |

"I am just a boy, like Jack" I tell her trying to calm her down.

Cinderella
I grip my wand tightly. " He isn't lying. This sort of story is quite common among the fairies: they trick people into serving them, and then they make sure they can never get out. Pinocchio, where is Rapunzel right now?' |
|
|
Jack
"I can't say," Pinocchio admitted. "But, if I had to guess, I'd say she was in her tower."
"I passed a tower on the way here," Jack piped up. "Though it was very... eerie. Surely you don't plan to go there, Cinderella? Apparently, she possesses some form of magic that's rare in Utop- err, Dystopia." Jack looked at Cinderella expectantly. |

Cinderella
" Yes, I do. I stole this power from a fairy, and there are none stronger in magical abilities. Which direction?" |
|
|
Belle
"Hold on," Belle intervened. "Cinderella, I forbid you to go alone. That's too dangerous. This... Rapunzel has already displayed his magic, and you cannot take her alone. I'm going with you."
"I will come," Jack offered. "I may not be a magician, but I'm familiar with the magic, and the dangers of it as well. I could be of some use, I think."
Belle seemed to consider this, but in the end simply nodded her head. "Thumbelina, would you mind preparing one more meal before we set off?"
Thumbelina nodded and left the West Wing. |

Cinderella
I grimace, clearly unhappy with the idea. Grumbling, I go to my room to collect my cloak. |
|
|
Jack
"Wait!" Pinocchio squeaked. "What are you going to do with me? Set me free, I hope?"
"I'm afraid not," Belle said. "You still attempted to harm Jack. You will be left here; when I return, I'll think of an appropriate punishment."
"That's not fair!" Pinocchio objected. "I gave you the information you wanted! I just disrespected Rapunzel by spilling the news! You're in my debt!"
"That debt will be paid!" Belle roared. "Until then, you remain here. Jack, Puss in Boots, come."
Belle waited until everyone had left the room, then closed the door, turned the key in the lock, and started down the corridor once more. |

Cinderella
" Pah. They'll get themselves killed. A Witch to a Witch." I hear loud, heavy footsteps and go out to the corridor to find the Beast. I follow her. |
|

Puss follows the others, his boots making a rhythm as they hit the ground, click clack, click clack. |

Jill
I burst into sudden tears, sobs racking my body.
"P-p-please. Don't hurt him," I sob. |

(okay guys. uh. can i get a recap of what's been happening?) |

(What was going on the last time you posted?)
Jill
"Jack is my brother. Our mother and cater live with us in a cottage. To get to the nearest well we need to go through a mountain pass and up a hill. We had to fetch some water, from the well. Jack was good at keeping away the bandits, and I could carry the water. One day, one day... I can't remember." A look of deep concentration crosses my face, why can't I remember. Jack had been wearing a crown made of branches and leaves, and I, a circlet of dandelions. Nothing else to remember. I just was then walking, covered in blood and pain wracking my body. Deep velvety blackness. Waking up in a hut in the woods with a recluse caring for me until I was well. Then leaving, trying to find Jack once more. |

(uh. page 13. some conversation. i didn't even know what was happening then.) |

Peter
"It's okay." I tell her trying to calm her down. "It's okay if you don't remember. Why don't we just go to the hill now? You know, to find him."

(Alright, let's jump ahead a bit...)
Belle
After a nice meal, Belle felt replenished. As she started toward the front entrance, Jack came up beside her. "Are you ready?" she asked. Jack simply nodded. Something else was on his mind.
"Belle, what do you plan to do with the puppet?" he inquired.
"I don't know," Belle admitted. "But I'll think of something."
"Something fair?" Jack said.
"Something fair," Belle echoed. Why was he so concerned for the puppet after he tried to kill him? "Come, let's step outside and wait for the others." |
