you can't just walk out of your house one morning and say, "why i think i'll cut taxes today!" can you do it on roblox either? no.
roblox is trying to teach kids/players/users/whatever how the economy really works. |
|
H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
As a matter of fact, you CAN indeed change tax rates over night on roblox, its not in their contract is it?
Roblox is teaching kids anything, they're just taking more of our money. |
|
|
no support. if the tax was removed like everyone would have 1 million robux = massive inflation = ruined economy |
|
H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
I never said remove tax, I said to lower it. Tax in 2009 used to be 30% then in 2011 they raised it to 30%.
|
|
|
yes, and there was a rising threat of inflation
that threat has been greatly subsided, resulting in robux being worth more
before, 20 tix = 1 robux
now, 13 tix = 1 robux
by your logic, 25 tix = 1 robux is better than 13 tix = 1 robux, all because you lose a little bit of money when selling things |
|
|
The stupidity in this thread is astounding, and I'm a free player. |
|
H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
Loosing a little bit of money? You can't eb serious. Roblox is taking 30% of every robux I pay for. Instead of making robux worth more and making items mroe expensive, they increased the tax and gave us less money.
You're suggesting 30% is a fine rate :).
|
|
|
@h75
let's take your roadtrippin' shades.
lowest price is 700 bux, -30% = 490 bux
let's go back to the 25% it was before!
700 - 25% = 525 bux
small amount of 35 robux was lost by gaining to 30%.
however, that person selling now has 35 extra robux to spend on other limiteds
resulting in a ripple-effect inflation, where your 700 bux becomes 900 bux, but in reality are worth 700 bux.
tl;dr you lose 200 robux by getting 35 more robux |
|
H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
Lowest price = 700
In 2009 I would have gotten 630 robux
Now in 2012 I would get 525.
Big difference.
Lets get real here, roblox doesn't ahve to tax us this high, its just that they're too greedy not to.
If 450 robux = 5$
that means we're actually getting 300 robux for 5$.

ROBLOX economy is perhaps one of the worst devised.
First, I have yet to see a a decent country have two different currency's. For example Britain uses pounds, America uses dollars, and in some Asian country's use Yen.
The only country that I know of of that uses 2 currency's is Mexico, with American dollars, and euro's. I doubt Mexico has one of the best economy's in the world, much less a decent one. Perhaps it's the worst in the world.
Second, considering people get money for doing diddly squat on ROBLOX, it's much comparable to a bad economy. I've noticed that some country's allow it's citizens to get stuff for free because they are not employed.
Yet the government hasn't seen this flaw yet, and loses money because of it's lazy citizens. This is pretty much equivalent to ROBLOX.
So what ROBLOX calls an "economy", is actually a bad idea, duct taped together in the bad areas. So taxing us to improve said idea, makes sense. No Support. |
|
|
in 2009 the tax was 25%
also, roblox can SQL themselves to have 999,999,999,999,999 robux
they don't need sales, they are doing it to control the economy from imploding like it did (and is doing) in the EU.
obviously you don't understand economics.
700 robux + extra robux = 900 robux
however, it's worth the same
so your 900 robux is actually worth 700 robux
TL;DR VERSION lowering the tax = your robux being worthless
DECIDE:
30% TAX
or
NO ROBUX |

Let me put soem thing sout for you.
1) If roblox decreased tax to 10%, It would simply mean more money in circulation, this would not mean roblox would implode and die, it would simply mean roblox would give its players the money they paid for.
2) This is what roblox could do it stableize #1; Make hats cost more, and give users less robux for money (Say 5$ = 400 robux)
3) Instead of doing #1, they chose not to mess with the "money per robux" meter and instead raised tax to 30% beacuse of how many players roblox aquired between 2009 - 2011.
In my opinion roblox should make limited hats rarer and lower the tax rate, Thus making people sell limiteds for higher and getting more money.
|
|
|
1. more money in circulation = higher prices = in a ratio, your money is worth the same as it was before just +x, where x = inflation
2. which is inflation
by the way, inflation ruins economies
3. this saved the economy from imploding through inflation |
|
H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
So in other words, 30% Tax saved roblox? |
|
|
the economy imo is trashy already, it'd just be horrid if the tax was 10%
basic, 5th grade economics |

H75Join Date: 2011-05-28 Post Count: 4819 |
I never took 5th grade economics.
I took trig.

The economy is getting better, right? They should change it a bit more often. |

@quick
so basically you want to sacrifice the value of everything you have for variation? |

Don't be rude like this on roblox! Taxes would just make the game experiences worse because you would have the hardest time getting money, plus were do the robux go to,telemon? that wouldn't be fair.
