"Waiting for character" error, is there a way to fix it?

Okay, I've found why all of you are getting errors. Roblox does not play on Windows Vistas anymore, so you might want to check that on your list. Second of all, make sure your firewall is off. And pretty much that's all you need. Trust me, I used to play Roblox like 2 or 3 years ago and I stopped playing because of Windows Vistas. But recently, I got Windows 7 and now I can play Roblox without any problems.

I re imaged my computer and that helped. your origonal image doesnt require google chrome. in other words just remove google chrome.

i have almost the same thing! what happens, is i go to a place on roblox, and there are no servers shown! not even the make a new server button! and when i click play it says "the server is ready, joining the game..." BUT IT NEVER DOES! ive waited an hour before and nothing happens! ive tried re installing roblox 5 times, but it doent work. ive treid using seperate accounts on roblox and my computer BUT NOTHING WORKS!!!!! HALP! well one thing is weird about this. when i go to the public library to play roblox ITS PERFECTLY FINE! DO SOMETHING ADMINS!!

Try re-downloading roblox or try using a new web browser. It might also be your connection to the web, maybe try reseting your router or modem.

The Game Has Shutdown=an admin banned you from there or the creator shutdown the server you were entering. Losing Connection= There being lots of lag which will cause you to lose connection to the game.

I HAVE FOUND A WAY!!! the way to fix it is to change your operating system. ex: i had windows vista and was having the same problem. so i tryed to change it to windows 7 and worked 10 times in a row. Source: Mee :D

This is seriusly winding me up. I have Widnows XP (XP Rules) And it aint work. PLUS THE ADMINS DON'T FRIGIN LISTEN TO WHAT WE SAY. I HAVE TRIED UNINSTALLING IT AND INSTALLING IT AIGAN UBT IT STILL AINT WORK. This is really winding me up. It happens on all my XP computers.THERE NEEDS TO BE A FIX!
