Hi S&I,
I am writing because I feel that the 64 brick colors are very... well, limited. It seems that sometimes I can't seem to find just the right shade of green or blue or orange or red or purple for my places. That is the problem this suggestion is empowered to solve. We could have hexadecimal colors! Here's a screenshot of ROBLOX Studio displaying the properties of a brick with the color #00b32f (RGB: 0, 179, 47):

If you are unfamiliar with the hexadecimal color system, we could also let bricks have RGB colors. Here's a screenshot of the same brick with the same properties (and same brick color!), but with RGB values:

Keep in mind that some people don't exactly know how to work hexadecimals or RGB colors, so just in case, we should have a tutorial as well. Additionally, none of the original 64 brick colors will be affected by this situations. They will appear on the palette by default, while there will be a button below that, when clicked, triggers a color picker with both RGB and hex values. And yes, you will be able to save your custom brick colors as swatches.
Well, do you like it? If you do, great! If you don't... please tell me why.
Thanks,
Jay |
