So I am currently playing Fusion. Lol gwed platforming fun. So after Christmas I want a new Metroid. What ones do you reccommend? Most preferably on the Wii. I haven't really played any before but Fusion is so awesome. Lol. Whatchu reccommend?

I strongly recommend Metroid Prime 3: Corruption for the Wii. It has some of the best graphics and sound on the Wii, in addition to having motion controls that don't suck. However, you may want to play Metroid Prime 2: Echoes for the Gamecube first. |

The only Metroid games on the Wii are: Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Metroid: Other M.
You should get the Metroid Prime Trilogy since they take place before Fusion. Well so does Other M, but the Prime Trilogy is early in the timeline. |

I would recommend Metroid Prime Trilogy like Stryker did, but sadly it discontinued a while ago and is incredibly hard to find. and even if you manage to find it on the internet, its most like $100 or higher. |

You should get Metroid Prime 3: Corruption on Wii... It's the only metroid game I have so I don't really know if it's good compared to other ones, but I think it's totaly awesome. |

Other M is in third person and first. It is only in first when you point the Wii remote forward. |

All 3 prime games in the trilogy are in First Person but when you go morphball you go 3rd Person. |

Other M's story/atmosphere and clunky controls were its two big problems. The former unfortunately ruined it for me. |

The controls can be very angering.
Like you cannot shoot a missile unless in the FPS mode, where you can't move.
As for the atmosphere/story, it's basically the same as Fusion, only before it and with more talking now that systems can handle it. Fusion would be 'blah blah blah' as well if it could handle a voice actor. But it couldn't have that much put into it, so it was put into text. The only voices we got were the annoying "EMERGENCY IN SECTOR THREE" and "Warning! No entry without authorization!". They were probably going to have Samus talk in most of the games but weren't sure if the systems could handle it, or how to place it, so the idea was taken out until Other M. |

Other M = Okay game, bad Metroid game.
Some could argue that its Fusion in 3D, but in Fusion you still had the choice of how to get to your objective.
In Other M, you're set on a straight path.
In Fusion, at just about any time you could backtrack to get an upgrade you missed because you lacked the proper ability.
In Other M, doors randomly lock and you can't backtrack to get most upgrades until the VERY END.
Overall, Other M= not good Metroid game. |

A very good game, though it does get rid of the sense of loneliness in the other 3 Prime games. |
