RT stands for *ROBLOX* Talk

Happy New Year RT, I’m Brad Justus, the new VP of Marketing and Brand Experience here at ROBLOX. One of our top priorities for 2013 is the ROBLOX community; we love to hear what you’re saying – and (believe it or not) we’re listening to you (see my sticky post in S&I). That means that these forums are very important… well, forums, for you to make your voice heard. And that means staying on topic is really essential. Forums are a place where users gather to discuss specific areas of interest. It’s important that you should be able to find the topic you want to discuss and then get involved in the discussion. Unfortunately, that's not what's happening here in ROBLOX Talk. (Yup, it’s true: the “R” in RT stands for ROBLOX, not Random.) Over time RT has lost the quality that made it useful as a specific forum. It has lost the function of being a place where users can discuss the specific topic of ROBLOX due to all the random posting going on here. We want to turn this forum around and make it a great experience for ROBLOX users. Simply put, ROBLOX Talk should be for talking about ROBLOX topics. The posts should be about things currently happening on ROBLOX such as games, events, blog articles, creating things, new catalog items, your outfit combination, etc. Ideas are also welcome, but on another forum! I encourage you to read my post in S&I and be inspired to start a topic there. We appreciate the energy and enthusiasm of the OT posters. There's a lot of funny stuff going on there. So if you want to post something not related to any other forum topic, that would be the place to go. Here's what you can do to help: - Stay on topic in RT. If you feel the urge to post about something that's not about ROBLOX, take it to another forum where it will fit. - Don't push a thread off topic. A thread may start as ROBLOX related but could go off in an odd direction due to the replies. Don't be the person who makes it go away from the original topic. If someone is ruining a topic you can help by ignoring their reply and posting your own on-topic reply. That's really all it takes. I believe we can bring RT back to what it is meant to be: a place for discussing ROBLOX. We want to provide you with a great experience at ROBLOX and improving this forum is just one small step in that direction. We'll be doing what we can to help ensure this; we hope that you'll join us in making it happen. I’m going to leave comments open on this thread, so feel free to chime in here with your thoughts… or start a new thread yourself -- as long as it’s (you guessed it) on topic.
