[FEAR] Gladiators Event: The Complete Guide v1.0
First, some questions answered:
What is the Gladiator event?
Gladiator is the a new Venezian Sport that is sweeping the nation!
Where can I play it?
There is only ONE official playing ground, and the ground is currently in the stage of Development. Stand by for that.
What ways can I play it?
You may only play if you are apart of an Official Gladiators Team.
[[- Gladiators Guide | Part 1 -]]
[Important Objects]:
Healing Pad - A pad to restore 100 health to you. This pad will have a wait of 120 seconds.
Barriers - Cover
Trees - Terrain
Trusses - Climb
Secret Entrances - A simple hiding spot/path-way
Team Bases - Your area your team will spawn in
[[- Gladiators Guide | Part 2 -]]
[Basics/Objective]
In Gladiators your objective is to eliminate the whole opposing team including the captain, having at least ONE man left on the winning team. With doing so, this leads to an automatic victory for your team!
[[- Gladiators Guide | Part 3 -]]
[[Casual]]
This event does require some registration to join a team. You have multiple options in ways to join a team. You could possibly attend a team-Tryout, for your team, and choose members from there, or you could hand-pick them to join your team.
Team Tryouts Note: When ever you are holding these and they're shouted or posted on the wall, Captains must lock the server when there are at least 20+ soldiers in the server. Any late-comer must be removed from the game, if you are caught breaking this rule, your team will be disqualified.
Do remember that this is a combat inspired sport and considered extracurricular training, therefore, excellent performance may lead to a promotion.
[[Competitive]]
This style of play requires a team. A team consists of 10 Gladiator players and 5 Gladiator Substitutes.
You can register a team if you are Colonel+ for now.
Simply gather 10 members (including yourself!) and 5 Substitutes and then send Protectorzz a PM with a list of these members. The format is found at the very bottom of this post.
[Rules]
1) You can practice and scrimmage as much as you want, though it is suggested that you ask the creators Neel664 or Protectorzz for guidance on how to do that.
2) In a game, an ideal match is 10 vs 10. However, if any one team has less than 10 then the match is reduced to 7 vs 7. If any team has less than 7 members (X members) then the match will be 7 vs X. The 5 subs can also be put in if this rule takes effect.
3) Gladiator Team Leaders, win all ties against any player, unless the Leader is dueling the opposing Team Leader.
4) Any ties, result in a re-match.
5) No flaming will be tolerated any where when this event has tryouts/matches being played, doing so will result to disqualification.
6) Forfeits are allowed, but only the Team Leader of each Team may forfeit, and the team leader must have a 2/3 consultance from his or her team. Meaning 6/10 of the players must vote to forfeit.
7) Stealing Players, is ALLOWED in this match. It takes an intelligent brain to do this, and by that I don't mean bribery, bribery is prohibited in this event.
[Matches]
Matches will be produced once all 16 teams have been put into a forum and a brachet has been created. Each team will play a certain amount of games (chosen by Neel or Pro) and each game will be a win or a loss and that will mend on to the team's record. The more wins a team has and the least amount of losses amounts on the teams record. (Like NCAA Football) There will be #1-#16 in records. At the end of the season, there will be a big tournament, kind of like the playoffs.
[Captains]
Only Colonels, Generals, Prime Generals, Vice Commandmants, and the Commander rank will be allowed to be team captains and create a team. If the 16 slots are not filled by the Colonels+, then Warrant Officers will then be allowed to make their own teams.
Do remember that this is a combat inspired sport and considered extracurricular training, therefore, excellent performance may lead to a promotion.
Have fun playing Gladiators, and good luck!
Possibly an updated version of the guide will be released soon enough, if we update/change the rules.
