I am not proud to be an american anymore. The fact that the president and the members of the society as a whole would be so easily persuaded to give up their guns makes me a very sad person. The actions of a few do not determine the whole. Most gun owners aren't unstable and prone to violence. In fact, a good majority of them only use their weapons on the target range. The fact that it's acceptable to oppress gun owners and not oppress any other minority is really saddening. Let's face it. Gun owners are a minority in the good ol' US of A. One hundred years ago, gun owners would have been a majority. Hell, not even 60 or so years ago. It's sickening. I'm not a proud american. I'm a proud Revolutionist.

For some reason, I feel that the NRA's claims are wrong. Most of the people on my block do not own guns as far as I'm aware.

Well if you are unhappy with the US, nobody is asking you to stay. And getting a passport is easy. Problem is, nowhere in the world will republicans fit in. All of the west in liberally dominated. Europe has big government. Republicans last country was the US.
