Yeah, I'm reposting this from S&I; after 3 years, it's still inactive as ever. ROBLOX could greatly benefit from a partnership with Valve. Having a Game Hub, Discussion page, and more would bring in more users, and give our existing users more ways to share their creations, browse and find creations by fellow users, and provide a new way to pay for Builder's Club and ROBUX. If we were allowed to link our ROBLOX users with our Steam ID, there would be plenty of benefits to us, the users, and ROBLOX as a company; -------------------------------------------- +Many Steam players would notice the ROBLOX and try it out. As of December 2012, Steam had 54 MILLION active users, and partnering with Steam would be throwing out our name to those millions. +Just as we can buy BC and ROBUX with iTunes credit, the option could also be set up to buy BC and ROBUX with Steam Wallet funds, providing another way to purchase a membership. +The ability to use Steam Trading to trade our Limited(U) items for items in other games would be immensely helpful. I've gotten some offers to trade some of my Limited items for items in TF2, but I don't trust trading without a system. +With a Game Hub on Steam, we could share our screenshots and videos. We could see what ROBLOX games were currently popular, and the latest items ROBLOX released. +We could see what ROBLOX games our friends are playing, what items they're buying, and what screenshots they're posting on the Friends page on Steam. +All games on Steam have a Discussion page on the Steam Forums. ROBLOX would not be excluded, and older players could head there to find more mature players. +We could upload our creations to the Steam Workshop and browse to see the latest shirts, pants, decals, and models. +With the newly released Steam Market, we could sell our Limited items to other users for Steam Wallet funds, which we could use in other games or to buy ROBUX/BC. -------------------------------------------- Steam would also gain from a partnership with ROBLOX. Not only would they gain new users, but they would gain customers for Team Fortress 2, where, not unlike ROBLOX, it is free to play, but to become premium, you must buy something from the shop. Users could also have a new avenue to get Builder's Club for free; by playing Team Fortress 2, you obtain items every week which can be crafted to metal (currency) and traded for keys, which can be sold on the Steam Market for Steam Wallet funds, and then, following a partnership with ROBLOX, used to buy BC/ROBUX. Of course, there would have to be a few limits proposed on the ROBLOX, as many games on Steam can be violent and not appropriate for children. Only ROBLOX users labelled 13+ would be able to link their account to Steam and share files between their accounts. Of course, many ROBLOXians forge their age when they sign up, but if they are younger than 13, they most likely will not have a Steam account to link with, keeping them safe.

nope, because if they partnered with valve they would lose a ton of money i think valve takes like 35% of all profit from game sales

I doubt children would even join steam. Just post it on the forums or blog.

Full support. "Why? Because roblox's economy would fail," Uhm no it wouldn't "PLUS the "account hacking" corruption could grow more and more dangerously." Valve gaurd or you could not be stupid

What does THAT have to do with anything? ROBLOX still sells BC memberships, you know, stuff that's basically DLC, and could be sold.

I see where ur going at by...there is some problems to this, 1.Roblox does not sell games like Steam. And 2. Most kids fake their ages on Roblox. so its kinda an ify-ify type situation. -->kinda support<--

Roblox doesn't have to sell games on Steam. ROBLOX isn't a game persay, but it's considered one. And so do most kids on the internet what separates them from the others

They should actually allow us to sign in/sign up with Steam. Or even release the game there, like they did with the Windows Store. Not just allow older users to do it. Also like the idea about Robux and BC being ########### through it's Market and through #### but also a good idea is the ability to buy unlimited BC, TBC and OBC for a higher price than the current highest.
