Severe support. Plus, best idea I have seen. |

Support, although I'm not quite sure about blocking people. Lets say, they did something against the rules, so you wanted to report them. But they blocked you from their profile, so you can no longer report them. |

I will keep repreating myself as many times as needed:
Blocking someone will NOT prevent someone from going somewhere. It will prevent them from interacting with you.
You will still be able to see them, but you cannot talk to them.
You won't be able to see their chat in a game if they are also in it, and you will not be able to see their forum posts or threads.
Bottom line: They cannot talk to you in any way, shape or form. Not in a game, not in any friend requests, not on the forums.

Regarding the arguments against this...
1. It could cause or promote ignorance, as some players would block anyone who disagrees with them.
I don’t think anyone who would use the block for this purpose is getting much from their conversations as it is. They’re already “blocking” input they don’t like by ignoring it, so I don’t see this suggestion making a difference for them. As for those on the receiving end of the block, they get to spend less time trying to convince someone who won’t listen. They can spend more time talking to people who are willing to honestly discuss things.
2. It could cause rage.
As shown above, I doubt the mass-blockers would be affected much, so the rage they can create would only increase slightly, if at all. But let’s assume for the sake of the argument that they do become more ignorant and rage-prone. If they start raging, they can simply be blocked, cutting the rage short. I will grant that someone who gets blocked unfairly could get frustrated, but what can they do about it. They’re blocked. I suppose they could stalk the blocker and repeatedly try to assassinate them wherever they go, but that won’t last.
3. It could create bias and unfairness on suggestion forums.
This feature would not prevent anyone from posting on a thread. It would simply make it so the blocker wouldn’t see it.
4. It could lead to confusion on walls and forums.
True. But in most cases only the blocker needs to worry about this, since he’s the one who can’t see some of the content. Whether to block or not is up to him. This type of feature has worked well in other games and forums, and confusion has been minimal.
5. Harassment is already reportable.
Yes, but this doesn’t work perfectly. A feature like this puts more control in the hands of the players by giving them an instant solution, in addition to reporting.
Therefore: /support

About the forums: It should block the threads they created.
If X blocked Y threads they make cannot be seen by the other.
But if X posts a reply on Z's thread Y can still see that and reply to it, otherwise the forums would become unusable in ways if one is active on the forums and the other is not. |

"- Rudeness is not allowed. Examples of what not to post as your only reply, “Get out”, “dumb idea”, “no support”, “no, just no”. Short negative replies are not at all helpful and diminish the effort the person put into posting their idea."
I'd appreciate you putting more effort and detail into why you don't support making ROBLOX safer and more enjoyable for players.

Very good idea.
But they'd have to shut down the site for a while to implement it and get it on there.

Got news from Reese concerning blocking players. This is what she said:
"It's a feature we think the users deserve. It's on the roadmap (which means we want to make it but it's not scheduled at this time)."
So, eventually we WILL be able to block other players. ROBLOX will become a lot safer this way.
