Hippies and hipsters have nothing in common.
Hipsters are people who go out of their way to be as noticeably out-of-the-crowd as possible. They enjoy being unique and such. There are different levels of hipsters, thick glasses frames, odd hats, unique tastes; most hipsters have these in common. I, to a certain extent, consider myself a hipster.

That is nice, but most hippies are gone now. People dress in tie-dye and don't take bathes then they label themselves as hippies. Hippies was a political movement against government and politics.
They said basically they craved a simpler way of life. People now have jobs and houses and eat at fast-food places... People like these are NOT hippies. They are wannabes.
