@Trip: A friend of yours comes by and says "Today's the festival, remember?" @Duck: "Any kind of quest, but preferably one of the smaller ones to start you off with. Sure, smaller quests can be found in any bar or inn, but I wouldn't trust that they're always for the good of the people as a whole," said Darikinth just as an arrow flew right onto his right arm - which was, luckily, protected by the new armor.

"Master are you alright? What's going on is it the bandits you mentioned earlier?" I draw my sword and look around.

@Duck: 'course I'm alright, I was just hit in the arm by a crudely made arrow. It wouldn't have even penetrated normal clothes!" said your master, pulling out his sword from the blue-leather scabbard. The first thing you realize about the sword is likely the three runes running down the middle of the blade, symbols that must be deciphered and yet you do not know them!

I stare at the runes on the sword for a few moments. "Which direction did the arrow come from?"

@Duck: "I believe that the arrow came from the right," I say, as 6 bandits jump out from either side of the road and form a circle around us. @Trip: "Well, hurry up then!" said your friend, already running into town.

"You take the right side and I will take the other side." I draw my sword and charge my horse at the bandits on the left side of the road.

@Duck: "There's no need for that - just get the ones that are on the road ahead of us," said your master, after you charged at the bandits, "Well, too late for that now...". He charged at the bandits on the opposite side of the road. @Trip: "Why did you knock me over?" shouted your friend at you, getting up to continue the apparent race.

'i knocked you over so that i could beat you to the festival like we race there every year' i tell him

I charge at the bandits glad I am good with a sword. I use my experience to slash the bandits down in my path.

@Duck: As you slash at the bandits, one of them, which is still hidden in the bushes along the side of the road, shot an arrow at you, missing ever so slightly. You hear the sound of someone screaming, but not your masters voice, during the fight.

@Trip: "Well then," he said, catching up to you, "I suppose you wouldn't mind... THIS!" he pushes you over, as you fall to the ground, he runs on ahead.

I hear the scream and listen for the source of the scream. I charge down the archer and slash at him.

@Duck: The source of the scream is coming from the direction that your master is fighting in, and it's likely one of the bandits getting eaten alive. The archer, also, is knocked unconscious by your slash, and falls down, not yet dead. Unfortunately, just before you knocked him unconscious, he shot one more arrow at your chest.

I look at the arrow remembering what my master had said about them being poorly crafted and had limited effect. I still feel the pain in my chest as I look over at my master, losing my focus.

@Duck: Your master comes back to you, tears some cloth off of one of the bandits unconscious bodies and wraps it around the arrow, plucking it out of your chest and tying the cloth in place. "No serious wounds, at least, no serious wounds that can't be fixed easily. It's getting close to night, we'll ride for another hour then rest."

"Thankyou master and okay we better get going then." I grab hold of my horses reins again and ride with my master.

(Oh yes, I forgot to mention that, should this take off, we'll make another thread at 100 pages to avoid too many pages in just one thread. It should make it easier to avoid giant threads, that way.)

@Duck: You ride for the better part of an hour when your master stops, and says "There should be a village along our route tomorrow, and where there's villages, there's town healers." He then dismounts and sets up a camping fire to cook some food.

@Duck: Darikinth says "You might still be interested in the rest of the story, correct? I'll tell you a little bit of my third great adventure tomorrow, when we're on the road some more," as he puts some bread above the flame.

"Thankyou master." I sit down and eat some of the food. I then go and get some sleep.
