I close my book and put it back into my backpack. Feeling curious, I begin to head toward the Main Gate. I slide between the bars in the huge gate, and stroll toward the woods. |

I was still in the hallway. I was practically asleep with my eyes open... Then, I realized the time. I gasped. "Time flys..." I said to myself, and I got up. "I dont even have a reason to go to class now. I've missed half the day... I guess I'll take a walk..." I said, and walked outside. I looked up at the sky and sighed, then started to walk around the outside of the school. |

As I near the wood, I hear a pounding sound, like someone driving a nail into a board. After making sure no one is around, I move toward the sound. I can see Blake building something. Sliding behind a tree, I watch. Getting an idea, I utter a low chant, and cause the wood he's nailing to fly up and hit him.

I laugh quietly, and then head back toward school grounds.
Once back on Campus, I saunter over to the same bench I was at before, and look up at the sky. The sun is already three-quarters of the way across the sky. I yawn and get out a pencil and a drawing pad. I begin to draw random shapes and pictures, eventually turning them into a collage of sketches. |

There's an awkward pause, interrupted by the bells ringing for the next class. I jump, startled by the loud noise, and look at the ground again. I have a habit of not meeting peoples' eyes. "Well.. I guess I'll.. See you later..." I start to walk away, then pause and turn back toward him. "What... What's your next class..?" |

I begin to read the memorized words for the thousandth time. |

I look up at him, wondering why he's talking to me at all. Hardly anyone ever does. "Oh. Hello.. Well... Welcome to Thorn Academy, I guess....." I feel a little awkward, as always when I try to socialize at all. "What's your name...?" I don't make eye contact at all, just keep my eyes either on the sky, the ground, or my book. |
