In my opinion, Total Recall, it wasn't bad, but it didn't live up to the original movie's level of hype.
Post what you find were failed movie reboots of movies. |

'Eh, I liked the Amazing Spider Man, it wasn't better than the original, but it was still good. |

Seeing as how "The Amazing Spider-Man" has successfully created its own franchise composing of a film, an upcoming sequel, spin-off comics, a video game, and has influenced the mainstream comics to a great degree I wouldn't classify it as a "failed reboot". |

Neither would I, seeing as I loved the game and the movie. |

Jackie Earle Haley's Freddy Krueger is my favourite interpretation of the character, but the film was relatively poor in the writing department, and the acting, from the rest of the cast was lackluster. I would have appreciated the film a whole lot more if they had kept it as a separate entry. |

They should've done a sequel where like..
Nancy had been dreaming the entire first movie even though her friends had still died in their sleep.
Her stories about a Fred Krueger are dismissed. In the real world there was no serial killer named Freddy.
However all of the commotion about Freddy causes another springwood kid to haven nightmares. He envisions the same outfit and glove as Nancy had said it looked like - but freddys face is completely different than the first film. Because he dreams of Freddy as his own imagination.
This is when we could have a Jackie Haley version of Freddy and have it be a fresh new sequel.
Only problem would be the age of the actress who played Nancy but some tron legacy type CGI could fix that.
Cheap idea I know - but hell its still better than the remake. |

@Leslie, you're the person movie directors should listen to. Great idea, by the way. |
