The ROBLOX Mobile App that was released almost two months ago is still not available for the iPod Touch 4, and the biggest reason for that was because the RAM of the iPod was insufficent. 256 Mb of RAM can not properly run an online game, however I think ROBLOX should lower the graphics quality, remove shadows and bevels and somehow try to get the app on the iPod. I want ROBLOX on the iPod 4 because there is a wide majority of kids who own an iPod, not very many kids aged 8 to 12 own an iPhone 4 or above. So please ROBLOX I know your working on it, please don't give up and try harder! :)

Actually the Roblox mobile app has been availble on the iPod 4 since like August. Game Playing was added in December and is still being fine tunes. Don't expect it to end up on the iPod 4 anytime soon when they still are improving the app on the newer devices. Also the iPod 4 has a 800 MHz processer and 256 MB of RAM. It would be a major downgrade for a device that may be losing support next year...

Roblox Mobile is already in the lowest settings possible.

It isn't total ram that is the issue, it is graphics ram and GPU speed.

so basically, alex could de-limit the graphics RAM so it can join the total RAM,and it would work?

I'm not sure how much you know about computers but no. Graphics ram is ram dedicated to graphics, generally by GPU hardware, so it would be 256 ram in the normal CPU ram sticks(smt soldered onto the board) and 32mb to 64mb would be brought to the table by the GPU. If you remcompiled the kernel with some custom code you may be able to take away from the 256 mb of ram the main board brings to the table, but then you would barely be able to launch the app to begin with, plus it would be impossible on an iOS device to recompile the kernel.

And I am not even sure if the ipods include a GPU. The fact that the ipod touch 5 does not have one makes me doubt the 4 has a GPU.

@chubbs yeah I understood that (at least 3 quarters). so what you're talking about is like a tethered jailbreak. you'd need to boot the idevice into it's custom kernel state so it can steal some of the device RAM.

Yes, what you were suggesting would require jailbroken device features. In other words, ipod4 most likely wont be getting this anytime soon.

I'm not sure that this is a problem. The memory of the Ipod database is insufficent for the ROBLOX mobile usage. It is using quite alot. Buy more storage or delete programs. For the ROBLOX mobile, They can't improve because when they let the ROBLOX application to play ROBLOX on IOS Devices the Ipod 5 came up so they only did Ipod 5. There must be a technical issue with Apple Company. ROBLOX is doing perfect! Maybe in the future, They will see the technical issues like lag, App leave, Game leave and most of all application deletion error.

Trust me, I know how you feel. But iPod 4 isn't good or strong enough to run roblox properly.
