why can't we have reliable media anyways DVDs are great, but finger the underside once and you're in for a lifetime of skipping. Also there can be really annoying unskippable ads. VHS doesn't have that, but it degrades over time and can also be chewed up and spit out by your VCR if it decides to not work correctly. seriously, get on that whoever is in charge of R&D on this type of stuff

Slightly rub the finger print off the disc with a clean napkin, if there's a scratch in the disc then use toothpaste. Place a drop of toothpaste onto the scratch and with a clean napkin rub the toothpaste over the scratch. Now, clean the extra toothpaste. Toothpaste acts as a filler because a scratch is like an undersea trench at a microscopic level.
