I think that the implementation of Physx (A graphics quality and physics simulation enhancer, for those who don't know) would be an excellent feature to add to Roblox. Some of the benefits, just to name a few, are as follows: *Greater graphics quality *Improved physics simulation *Better Rendering *Increased realism *Increased particle effects

It sounds interesting, but it all would make ROBLOX unlike what it's always been, and would add unnecesary lag.

"and would add unnecesary lag." Than Roblox's current system? Probably not.

It might, but it would be optional. If the user's hardware is compatible, there should be no problem (The effects only show up on the user's computer; other players are unaffected.)

no, the realism realy is not needed. remember robloxes graphics update? remember how everyone hated it?

What are you running on, Pentium I? If not, I don't think you need to worry about lag that much. ~вєƒσяє уσυ тяσℓℓ, тнιηк тнαт уσυ'яє gσηηα ℓινє υη∂єя α вяι∂gє~

> would add unnecesary lag NVIDIA GPUs now have over 192 cores and usually over a full gigabyte of dedicated GDDR5. Explain to me how having that do your physics would be any slower than your crappy Pentium D? Anyone with a graphics card that supports PhysX would get a major performance boost, while also being able to support more complicated physics calculations in addition to just overall more calculations. ~ Ivegottogodosomething!

> remember how everyone hated it? Remember how it was actually a crappy update, and everyone complaining about it was generally a child who had no concept nor prior experience with anything even remotely related to gaming or technology? ~ Ivegottogodosomething!

but roblox has its own physics engine

What physx does is it generally adds better particle effects. This would make smoke and fire and sparkles better. If the gpu is physx compatible then it will not add any lag at all. What physx does is it takes advantage of a part of the nvidia gpu that does the physx effects and stuff that would normally just not be on for roblox. So what im saying is that physx won't effect lag at all because it is a different part of the gpu that does the effects, not the main part. Sorry if this was long.

The problem with PhysX is that very little of the userbase would be able to really make use of it. The physics engine in Roblox is not built for it, and because the physics need to be consistent we can't have different engines running on different machines.
