ROBLOX should add in bendy bricks as part of the features. This would cut down on the lag a LOT because if someone wanted to make, for example, a founatin, they would have to CFrame a ton of bricks together in a circle shape. This is time consuming and inefficient. Something like this limits the games that users with slower computers can play. Mesh doesn't help too much because its still just simple squares, triangles, etc. |

This is impossible without a ton of bricks (CFrame) or meshes! |
|
|
Which is why they should make bendy bricks as a whole, instead of tons of CFrames and meshes. I don't think it's impossible. |

Then explain exactly how this would work, without CFrames or meshes. |

Just so you know, the default brick is a mesh, they could do this if they created a mesh for every way some one could 'bend' a brick. |

Actually, all they need to do is use a skeleton for the meshes. That's how meshes work in video games; they don't make a mesh for every possible stance the character/object can be in, they use a skeleton frame. That's why sometimes you see meshes basically explode in glitchy games. |

ROBLOX has a diffrent game engine than these other games you talk about. |

Doesn't matter. Skeletons for meshes can be added. It would be quite a bit of work, but it could be added and without having to cause a ton of lag. |

I just can't see it happening without a ton of bricks. |

ZukaroJoin Date: 2009-04-14 Post Count: 3830 |
It doesn't need a ton of bricks. It just needs a skeleton mesh. |

I know, but I myslef cannot see this happening without a ton of brciks, being on ROBLOX for so long.
(This is my alt, I joined in early 2010) |

I've been on Roblox since 2008 (my original account is Zulor) and I can imagine it just fine. :P |
|
|
bendy bricks are a great idea! newbies probably don't even know how to get cframe, so having a large selection of bendy bricks in the stamper tool would be fantastic!
100% supported |

Sorry, but I have been on since early 2010 (Alt account) and I cannot imagine a brick that has always been rigid, being able to bend. |

bro we got me from 2009 (alt if u havent already guessed) and an 09'er.Get out. |

I doubt this could happen unless Roblox does some overhauls or massive changes on the engine it self. |

@Big
Exactly what I was going to say. |

"I doubt this could happen unless Roblox does some overhauls or massive changes on the engine it self."
I doubt it'd be that massive. All they need to do is allow wireframes to work (the things which allow meshes to do things like bend (it's why characters in video games can move and can be animated)). |

Support.

I support this suggestion. |

I think the way they would work is that you do this some draw thing. |
|
|
This is impossible to do efficiently.

As said above.
Its currently too hard to make bricks that can bend properly.
Which points out the next flaw,
Your suggestion is not detailed enough. |
