They're not superheros. They're vigilantes; not that I have a problem, with vigilantism.

Not all of them. Some of them do community service. Also most of them disagree with vigilantism and only use force if they have to.

For the most part a vigilante is someone that considers it is their responsibility to uphold the law. And, most of them fall into this category. The only thing that separates real life "superheros" from other vigilantes is the fact that they wear costumes inspired by fictional characters.
