"The NDK is a toolset that allows you to implement parts of your app using native-code languages such as C and C++. For certain types of apps, this can be helpful so you can reuse existing code libraries written in these languages, but most apps do not need the Android NDK."
You can write in c or c++ if you really need it. Roblox could port app using apportable, but I don't know how stable it would be. |

@Everyone I have read they newest blog, the admin has responds what people said.
They said "ROBLOX will relase on android maybe 6 months" < I'm not sure they said over 1 years "We will make IOS and then Android."

Its nice to see something like this, responding and adding what does the customers said.

It's nice to see ROBLOX relase date for android, but I think its too long to relase enough.
ROBLOX make IOS in 2010 or 2011 it relased in 2011-2012 I can't confirmed..
But for android they said they will make it and relase maybe a year, affter a year they said 6 months...

NOT TO MENTION! The Nexus 7 2013 tab is almost the cheapest tablet out there and is the SHARPEST tablet in the WORLD! The resolution beats ipad mini and ipads retina by a lot! SO dont give me this bull about ios having better graphics. Not to mention it has some of the greatest specs out there. OK ios is good but dont say android can't handle it plz. |

iOS Developing Language: Objective C
Android Developing Language: Java
They have to change all the Objective C code into Java, and they have to learn a whole new syntax. It could take a long time, because shifting from xcode to eclipse if a bit weird. I find Xcode a lot better than eclipse. Its just a long process, I prefer developing for iOS rather than Android because Apple gives you the platform to build with everything installed inside of it, whereas in Android its a bit hard. |

This is my opinion about this thread. The reason why they done it on iOS is because theres less work to do as iOS is simpler system to program a game on. Android has stable updates, the only thing that they might find challenging in creating roblox app on android is the different specifications on different devices, apple makes their devices with closely related specifications. Theres are many brands using different types of cpu, graphics cards etc. They need to make sure that all devices run roblox smoothly or without any bugs. Theres lots of devices they have to test roblox on, its just lots of hard work and if something goes wrong, they will try to fix it and possibly screw it up. It is alot to work on, another thing STOP MAKING THAT APPLE VS. ANDROID. ANDROID DOESNT MAKE PHONES, SO COMPARE FOR EXAMPLE: SAMSUNG VS. APPLE. All of you made silly mistake. |

my nvidia shield has a quad core 1.9 ghz ARM a15 tegra 4 cpu and a custom Nvidia GeForce gpu with 96 CUDA cores and a built in console-quality controller.i play team fortress 2 in an x86 emulator on my virtual copy of ubuntu. tell everyone that android cant run roblox just as good or better than iOS now, blind apple fans! |
