Bob2644 "Roblox did not confirm the release for Android, and may perhaps not. If they did, it would be on the blog, but it's not. Android probably won't accept it anyway, if Roblox want to make an app for it, they'll either have to make it atleast $0.99 or they can't make the app for it. Ask Google Store owner or something" (Please just don't say things if you don't really know)The Google play market has more free things than the App store so I assume they would not decline or approve things.

Recently in the tech news, some university managed to create anapplication that allows iOS apps to naturally run on the android operating system, which in fact says 2 things, android is very capable of many things, and second if we don't get Roblox for android we can use the iOS version. Also for NVIDIA SHIELD users if you didn't get the news, half life 2 and portal have been portal to android and can run on your tegra devices.

Okay, basic gist of things here. Android devices at this point are generally far more powerful than iPhones/iPads/iPods. If they can run roblox, most Android devices would be able to run it better. The question isn't how powerful Android devices are, but if the Roblox devs are actually going to port it. If they don't, then we don't have roblox. End of story.

I have a LG Optimus 4X HD with 1,4 Ghz Quad-Core Nvidia Tegra 3 and an iPad 4th generation. It's more easy to make an app for Android, but is harder to optimize it for hunderts of devices. On iOS it's harder to make an app because iOS isn't an open source OS like Android is,but Apple has only 10 devices what can run Roblox(excluding iPhone 1,2G,3G,3GS and iPad 1).Remember that iOS apps are better at finish than Android apps(for example,I downloaded Asphalt 8 on my iPad and on my phone.Result:on iPad,runs perfectly,no lag on a 1,4 Dual-Core Apple A5X,on phone, runs with 13 fps,it's laggy, impossible to play online.)I think Roblox is working for android version, but i didn't hear anything about a beta version,or something tested by developers.Hard to belive, but it's possible that Roblox would not make an android version :(.

Rewrite:I found on roblox blog this:We’re looking in particular for web engineers, and mobile/Android developers; you can see all open positions at jobs.roblox.com. Writen on 14th February 2014 by blockhaak(I don't know him)This means Roblox for Android is in future plans and maybe is in developing now.Sounds good?

READ THIS:The move to iOS is the logical first step for Roblox as it builds out its platform, but the company plans to reach users wherever they connect and want to play. “I’m playing on the iPad against people on PCs and Macs right now,” Baszucki says as his avatar is wasted by a rocket to its blockish face. “We’ll be looking at Kindle and Androids, too.” Until then, parents who give kids their first iPhone or iPad this holiday season may want to encourage them to think creatively and download the Roblox app alongside their Temple Run.The mobile app has had a big impact on the game overall. As Baszucki said, you can safely design a user experience for mobile and have it translate to the desktop, but you can’t have it go the other way. Mobile is the new design standard for Roblox, and long term, the devs want to make everything work on all platforms. Even though players can currently create worlds, click a button, and push them to the cloud for all platforms, Roblox’s team hopes to provide the tools to produce a high-quality experience across the board. While other iOS and Mac games have attempted to provide a complete, cross-platform format with varying results, ROBLOX will actually allow its massive community the opportunity to play all its games, regardless of device. Of course, the idea of every game’s content working flawlessly with the new touch-screen interface sounds daunting, but Bromley and the rest of the ROBLOX team seem confidant in the company’s “clean and portable” code. “During the process of developing for iOS we found a much quicker way of rendering everything that we have in our world,” adds Bromley. “Moving to iOS we did some optimizations, so the largest world we have will actually render 10-times faster. So it’s at a point now where the render is actually faster than high-end PCs.”
