Good morning, C&G. Today I bring you the first in the series of Vaktovian Grammar Lessons, which will address important grammatical errors made by many members of the community on ROBLOX, most specifically in C&G.
Today, I will be teaching you about correct abbreviations. An abbreviation is a shortened version of a word or words, for example 'Abominus Vyhrak Jetpackboy' would become AVJ. However, many people commonly make mistakes with abbreviations due to a lack of supreme Vaktovian intellect.
I will be addressing the commonly known 'BFF' abbreviation (Best Friends Forever). In many conversations, one may say 'Yes, we are BFFs'. However, this is logically incorrect as 'BFFs' indicates that the 'Forever' at the end is plural. This is incorrect, as the 'Friends' in the middle should be the plural. Hence, it should be BFsF to be grammatically correct. However, an even easier solution would be to include the plural in the abbreviation of 'Best Friends Forever' so the 's' is incorporated into the middle 'F'. Hence, 'BFF' would count for both singular (Best Friend Forever) and plural (Best Friends Forever).
For those who have trouble understanding, I shall clarify.
BFFs = Best Friend Forevers - INCORRECT!
BFF = Best Friends Forever/Best Friend Forever - CORRECT
BFsF = Best Friends Forever - CORRECT (but strange)
And that is how you can begin the first tiny steps in speaking like your Vaktovian masters. Think logically, don't hasten the process of deduction.

'Stupid' is defined as (by the dictionary), lacking intelligence or common sense. Since I have written a thread with the primary intention of boosting the intelligence (or at least knowledge) of others, I hardly think that I can be defined as 'stupid'. |
