It's pretty silly, how private messages are moderated, even if they are private.
My idea is to leave private messages private, unless they get reported by users. That way, you can talk what ever you want with your friends, and still report stuff like: threats, online dating, pass asking and other offensive or harmful in any way.

They don't read every message. They do on the other hand have a word filter as well as (I think) a filter that blocks off sites. |

They only monitor suspicious ones that are reported or break the rules by posting a link to an off-site website. |

Get over yourself.
They have a filter to remove off-site ads and inappropriate words.
But that doesn't mean they skim through each and every message.

What if someone is messaging others with inappropriate content, and they read it and DON'T report it but instead look at it and get in trouble with their parents? Whose fault was it for NOT moderating messages under your system?
