People of Robloxia! I beg you to turn your attention to a rather disastrous side of Roblox. In smaller communities, such as that of Roblox's starting ages, most people cared about what they wrote in the comment section, as it would reflect on them, and the way they feel about the item they are writing about. Their decision used to reflect on them as a person who plays Roblox, as the community was so small that the average person would be well known by everyone else who plays and visits this site. But now the time has come for change. Roblox's community has grown beyond the expectations of its developers, and the basic systems such as the recently implemented 60 second interval between comments have little purpose. To solve this, I am suggesting a few ideas which I hope that the community will acknowledge. These will help in times when user content developers will have their mind at rest that only comments will true meaning will pass through in a simple way. The current option regarding comments is the binary "Turn comments on/off", which lets us choose whether or not an item is open for comments. Although I propose that a new selection is added. I believe it should look something like this: As the options are now: - Turn comments on/off -- Choose whether or not this item is open for comments. --- [_] Allow Comments As I would like the options to be: - Comment Options -- Control which users are allowed to comment for this item. --- Dropdown box: ---- Nobody, ---- People who have played/bought this place/item. ---- Friends. ---- Everyone, I believe that even Roblox can utilise these settings to their full advantage in the Hats, Faces and Packages catalogue section, by setting items for sale to "People who have bought this item" only. People who buy an item will have experience with it, and will actually have a need to comment on it being good or bad. My second suggestion is that Roblox REMOVES comments which lead to a player being banned. Currently, when a user posts spam or adverts, he may be warned/logged off/banned accordingly. His comment is still left there, making chain spam and adverts still a successful way of ruining our comments section. Thank you for your time in reading this post, and I hope you support for the better of Roblox.
