People can put spaces behind and before usernames, pretending to be that player. For example, when _ is a space, people can call themselves Shedletsky__, taking someone's identity. Another thing is that spaces do not work well with Lua, so it would ruin scripts. Also, over suggested, no support.

In addition to what everyone else has said: Spaced names are are also an identity unique to very old users. It would be like putting an old hat back onsale for 10 tix, that was only offered to '05-'06ers for some time before being put offsale. It would also be stupid if '05ers, '06ers, and some '13ers and above had spaced names, but everyone in between didn't. Some old things are better off left alone.

Exclusivity is silly. Those who get so uppity about it will leave. Also to stop impsoters just make it a requirement to have a letter before and after the space

"Exclusivity is silly. Those who get so uppity about it will leave." That's what you call an opinion, my friend. And it is unfortunately one that not many people share.

no because then people won't value spaced names as much anymore

If I'm not mistaken, Lua doesn't really like spaces.

Some people quit roblox because biggerhead went back on sale. It's nice being older than most accounts, but really, you have a join date for proof. what more do you want? If you want it to remain exclusive you thrive on jealousy and as such are not a very nice person.

"Some people quit roblox because biggerhead went back on sale. It's nice being older than most accounts, but really, you have a join date for proof. what more do you want? If you want it to remain exclusive you thrive on jealousy and as such are not a very nice person." -- The level of invalidity in this argument is amusing. People from 2005 and 2006 deserve recognition, because they have basically been here since the beginning. A spaced name is like another way to say "I'm from 2006." Sure, you can SAY you're from 2006, but that doesn't have the same level of influence as it would if someone with a spaced username enters the server. Plus, in order to PROVE that you're from 2005/2006, you've have to give everyone a link to a forum post, because that is the only place where your join date is visible. There has to be some special way to distinguish extremely old veterans from newer users, and spaced names are a good way to show that. It has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I don't think newer members deserve spaced names, it only has to do with the fact that spaced names have been the mark of an '06er for so long, that to make it optional for new accounts now would completely ruin its uniqueness. How would you like it if you had something special from a certain period of time that nobody else had, and then one day it was released to all the new users again? Once you've become accustomed to having something to distinguish yourself, you don't appreciate losing it.

Not all 06ers have a spaced user. But I think that in future old vets (pre 10) should have their year (05,08 etc.) displayed next to their name on a leaderboard to show they are experienced.

Having spaces=Fake guest accounts. Back then you could space because there was no guests as far as I know. But now there are guest

OP, you still need to reply to the argument about Lua. And even if you have to have a letter before and after, there are still usernames that you can replicate. Ie: an old user named Blue_Red, when _ is a space. Blue_**_**Red. Easy. > A spaced name is like another way to say "I'm from 2006." I agree with this argument. ^
