So you can see who's Friend Request is still pending that YOU sent. So if you sent an FR to say, for example, if you sent a FR to Shedletsky, there would be a tab or something that would show Shedletsky, with his character and name, and a button that says Cancel FR or something like that to stop the FR.

Why would you send him the FR in the first place? Think before you act. Of they accept, you can easily remove them...
