You know that Iron Maiden wouldn't exist without Led Zeppelin, right? Anyways, Maiden is great, and my two favorite bands are Metallica and Pantera.

Zilla The whole "Wouldn't exist" thing isn't really true. They would still exsist, just have different songs and style. But Maiden wouldn't be as great as they are know without Led Zepplin would be more... accurate.

Yeah, you're pretty much right. Maiden may have formed without Zeppelin, but they wouldn't be the gods of metal that they are today.

Not really. Listen to "Kings and Queens", "Dream On", and "Nobody's Fault" and then tell me that Aerosmith fails. I don't think Maiden was influenced by Aersomith much, though.

"of course the Iron Maiden would start to play even if led zeppelin did´t play. the band that inpired Maien was Aerosmith" Areosmith became famous after Maiden formed I think >.>. I thought they were formed in like 1978/1979. Areosmith became popular in the eighties. And Areosmith is rock. Not metal. Rock. That Statment is lie...

Aerosmith was popular in the early/mid 70's and formed before Maiden did, but Maiden took more influences from British rock/metal bands (Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, UFO, Thin Lizzy, etc.) than American rock bands.
