Well, this would actually make more people buy cards.. In my perspective, for the people who cannot earn items easily would buy cards just to trade.
I know I'd be getting cards.

Well, people do it anyways.
Nothing is stopping them except a ban/warning.
But people post on alts, obviously if mods cared enough they'd filter donkeys, usd and money
or whatever.
