[-1-] Introduction:
A couple of days ago the Department of Infrastructure posted an idea thread containing future training protocol. As many members approved of the training protocol, this new reform will now implement it into UCR.
-
[-2-] Discipline:
It has become apparent that UCR trainings lack discipline. Discipline is a very important aspect of trainings. We have worked to come up with an official solution for problems at trainings, and though not everyone will be a fan of it, it is the only way of achieving flawless trainings.
[*] Extreme Punishment:
Trainings will be required to be COMPLETELY STRICT. This means that at the start of the training, the trainer must let know the trainees the training will be strict. He/she must let the trainees know that why must remain silent at all times and follow all orders. No one else is allowed to co-host unless given permission by the host. No on else is allowed to use admin unless given permission by the host. Trainees cannot socialize during the training. They must go through with the entire training. The only time they are allowed to TEAMCHAT during a raid/defense simulation or when given permission by host.
If the trainees fail to follow the rules, the following punishments must be given:
- The trainer signifies that an immediate warn+kill->kick->ban->demotion punishment will be given
- The trainer does not tolerate members breaking training protocol
- The trainer warns+kills->kicks->bans->demotes the trainee (breaking protocol) WITHOUT hesitation
The trainer MUST give the following punishments else the trainer will be suspended himself. If the trainer continues to host bad trainings, his training privileges WILL be suspended. We will not tolerate bad trainers.
-
[-3-] Categorized Trainings:
The old system of trainings split a basic training into three parts: Skill, Knowledge, and Casual. Each type followed it's own line of system. The Skill sector enforced trainings to focus only on skill, the trainers would have to teach members in this type of training and make sure there is a clear sign of advancement. The Knowledge sector ensured a solid path for our philosophers; the type of training's main focus was to teach members of past UCR events and retaliate the decisions of former UCR leaders. The final sector was the Casual; it was just a normal training system in which members can train as they always train. It was more of a system where members would be undisciplined and just be able to have fun at a training.
The above system was definitely not functional they way we foresaw it to be. It collapsed quickly, thus resulting in the closure of the entire system. The system below will redefine the old system and ensure that our members get the absolute full benefit of UCR trainings.
[Option 1:] Categorized Skill Trainings
Despite the non-functioning core of the last system, it certainly did have many advantages. The new system partially enforced our trainers to actually teach the members and practice activities regarding raids and defends. This new system pretty much expands the Skill sector into several parts.
[[Raid/Defense Training:]]
SHOUT FORMAT: [TRAIN] Raid/Defense Training: insert place name here
RD-TRAIN is a training method which completely focuses on raiding and defending. Within the training, our members would go through several raid simulations in which they would be put on spot to complete and win raids. The trainer will be required to teach members several tactics pertaining to winning a raid. The members would be required to be extremely disciplined and follow all orders given by the trainers. The training will consist of simulations in which the members will execute plans given by the training. This will be a chance for our members to practice raiding and defending and to ensure that a future war UCR part takes in results in their own victory.
It is recommended that UCR's official fort(s) are used for this type of training.
[[Sword Training:]]
SHOUT FORMAT: [TRAIN] Sword Training: insert place name here
S-TRAIN is a training method which will put its focus on only swords. Trainers will gather members in a place in which the members would enrich their skill with swords. The trainer would work tirelessly teaching our members preferred methods of sword fighting and lesson them on possible events. The trainees will obey all commands and be attentive at all times. This training will clinch to our member's sword skills and level their experiences to our top sword fighters today. This training will be a great way for our skilled sword fighters to practice and also teach their methods to their fellow UCR members.
Recommended training place for a sword training would be one with plenty of terrain.
[[Gun Training:]]
SHOUT FORMAT: [TRAIN] Gun Training: insert place name here
G-TRAIN is a training method will center around guns. It is extremely important that our members are able to gun fight. Many forts are centralized around guns and it is a profounded fact that not many members are great with guns. Essentially, the trainer of this training will go over steps of a successful gun fight. They must cover all topic pertaining to guns and how to use them effectively. The training type would certainly advance our member's gun skills and be a great attraction for our skilled members who prefer guns. The training will focus on all types of guns, shotguns, snipers, assault rifles, etc. The end result of this training will be great and our members would become expert gun fighters.
It is recommended that the training place be filled with terrain and provide enough cover.
[[Tactic & Team based training:]]
SHOUT FORMAT: [TRAIN] Tactic/Team Training: insert place name here
T-TRAIN will be an unfamiliar type of training type. By name we can extract the core values of this type of training, which is tactics and teamwork. The main goal of this training would be to make sure our members are able to quickly plan effective tactics during raid/defense situations. As on half of the training will focus on tactics, the other half will ensure that our members confine to teamwork. The trainer will be required to make members work as a team during the entire training. The trainers will teach and test the trainees on their ability to plan and execute tactics as a team. This new type of training would be great successful because it will focus on something outside of just combat. This training will exceed one's combat skills and merge into their mind, it will center itself around teamwork and tactics and make sure the trainee is able to execute both in a proper manor. In this type of training, both guns and swords can be used.
It is recommended that UCR's fort(s) are used as a training place.
-
[-4-] Conclusion:
I thank you personally if you take the time to read this entire protocol. I understand it is a huge reform for trainings and maybe not the fairest reform, but it is mandatory. We will allow our trainers to adjust to this new system, so there will be no training suspensions handed it this week. Starting next week though, we will enforce this and will require EVERY place to follow protocol. Hopefully we can improve our trainings and aim for flawless, perfect trainings.

but i will later ;) |

UCR is great. But when it comes to trainings with hosts that don't have expirence, then it gets crazy. Good thing you made this reform and hopefully the trainers follow it. |

"[Option 1:] Categorized Skill Trainings"
no other options yo |
|
|
I pick option 1, no other choice... |
|
|
Here's an idea.
The terrain and weapons systems should mimic the ones used by whoever we are fighting, so that troops can be better prepared for raiding.
The best way we can actually train for raiding or defending a base, is by actually raiding or defending said base.
But we should probably get an enemy first, If not, Just practice raid our own fort as much as we can. |

This reform does not have Madam President, Poisonlava's name at the end of the thread. Was this reform approved by her?

@jko
Yes it was. |

Some HRs are beyond strict and take this unnecessarily; they condemn trainees who have yet to understand the gist of the disclipinary trainings.
e.g. the player comes in and has no idea of what's going on
"Hi, sir!"
":kill player"
I find it really annoying, and if we were to implement this even further, I think it's really deteriorating the relationships between HR/LR. |

The trainers shouldn't need to use admin to enforce something as simple as 'no talking'. |

I completely agree with you Serguir, I was at Amune's training and I said 'open/door1' in an effort to get to the training area. I was killed as a result and warned for apparently 'breaking the silence'. I had absolutely no idea that there was a silence order in place, and I was warned for something?
I then explained why I had talked, and the next thing I know I was kicked from the server. Shouldn't training's be educational yet fun for our members? Sure we need a degree of discipline however this reform is overkill. He had also kicked numerous other people for saying 'Hello' or 'Hi'.

@jko
I made the President well aware of what will happen through this reform, it is certainly happening. Trainees should be aware of what a discipline training is, and number 1 rule is to not talk at the training unless given permission. |

Though we will certainly not put this burden onto newer members. I think it is common sense that if a newer member comes into a training, he should be given the rules. |

Question.
Well and statement.
I think this just kills the respect aspect of UCR. If you cannot talk then you cannot say "yes sir" or "no sir", correct? Then I feel like there is no respect being learned in that, but then again I disagree with myself. If there is silence then there is a degree of respect going on(because they respect the HR's enough to remain silent).
Sorry for my confusion. I like the new reform though. It sure will help us out a lot. :) |

So members are now not allowed to greet each other? Or ask questions if they are unsure? Or even socialise in trainings?? going to be an interesting month... |
|
is811Join Date: 2011-10-07 Post Count: 554 |
Yes, the discipline is needed, but we can't afford to lose respect. |
|
OptiicsJoin Date: 2013-03-05 Post Count: 1619 |
@is
They can greet each other and ask questions. But no socializing at trainings. Trainings are not social hangouts. |
