Going to bump this after all this time; dont think this got enough publicity, because its a serious problem
on an update to this, the :strobe command is REALLY scary, it almost made me throw up. it hurts your eyes ALOT.

This thread makes me facepalm so hard.. You really should realize this: ROBLOX has over one million users. Epilepsy is rare. Having that said, I'd bet that barely anyone who plays is prone to seizures. And even if you do have epilepsy, your doctor should have said (if you even went to one...) to take caution when looking at a TV/Laptop/any other electronic screen. And you obviously don't understand, if you're on prescribed medication, you chances of having a seizure are lowered by a lot.
You can't just use and electronic and not expect flashing lights now and then. |

The simple solution is as the admin suggested, report seizure triggers and get them taken down. |

It hurts your eyes, scripts and places using "disco" and things like that should be banned just for being awful. Where is the benefit in half blinding people intentionally with malicious intentions? |

God, yeah, please do. Although I don't have seizures, my sight goes all fuzzy and my brain hurts and I start shaking whenever I see that awful strobe effect. The disco also hurts, but not as immediately and as badly as that strobe. It hurts everyone in some way, some more than other, but I can see it'll be more serious for those who get seizures. They just need that strobe effect gone more than anything. |

Its not IMPOSSIBLE to remove this, Even though there are millions, a report option can be put in place.
And if the mods were to request to Kohl, to remove the epeliptic commands from his highly-used admin script, then this would help solve the problem indefinently.
The point isnt that its impossible; the point is that its harmful. And saying "I doubt epeliptic people play roblox", well, just look at what chief said, and the fact that your doubt; isnt fact. |

Fun Fact: I have epilepsy.
I play games. As long as I get a legal warning, I'm fine.
And it's not 1/10000, it's 1/100 for those who are 12-16.
I support this idea. Seizures can be dangerous and even fatal.
Not everyone knows they have epilepsy or photosensitivity.
Not everyone takes medication for that condition. |

Brett, that is an evil thing to say, not just mean, but wishing to cause someone to experience something that awful is evil. Just evil. It is a horrid thing. I have seen people suffer from it, but THEY were helped at once. Not everyone is that lucky. Plus it is destructive and has malicious intent. Report it, the mods examine it, if they decide it is a damaging flash pattern they have it removed. |
