"That's pretty much it. We've got a convoy of three cargo mechas going out to scout possible farming locations by a river, but only two Centaurs - combat jeeps - to escort them." He pauses, takes a deep breath, and continues, "We know for a fact that insurgent forces will try to target them, and our troops will need the extra firepower you can provide." |

"Alright. The convoy is just about ready. Go outside, and talk to the man waiting out there. He'll give you assigned positions and such." You head outside, along with your comrades, and note that the UCM base is in the center of a pine forest. You can see a large cargo transporter landing in the distance, so the UCN base and the star-port can't be far. A man motions for you to come over. |

I almost instantly followed the other Soldier, after all, same squad, we had to go on the same mission, so it's best not to think they are going to stab you in the back at their first chance, right? |

I slid into a seat that was next to one of the Peace-makers, I wasn't any good at driving, I was better at shooting, it that was possible. Hopefully, the rebels wouldn't use any semblance of tactics, and would simply rush the trucks, allowing me to mow them down with the Peace-maker. But no, that wouldn't happen, that only happens on movies. Plus, it would be too lucky, they're probably going to blow up the convoy with Rocket Launchers, cut the tires, anything. Really. |
