Hello, I'm TheBrickBinder. I'm here to help you, help yourself! I made a guide here, purely from experience. This explains in depth more of what this guide will help you with:
Avoiding people / bandits
Staying alive
Getting proper gear
Getting ready for banditism
Getting ready to raid Amend and / or Strive / Delve (If you're a fool)
VERY, VERY IMPORTANT! WHILE TRAVELING AND COMPLETING 'Brick's Route' WATCH THE CHAT!!! Try to find out what people are on the server, who is who and such! This is EXTREMELY important!
So you're at the Character Creator. Choose a look, and a perk, I prefer 'Survivalist'.
So, you've just spawned, now what? Well first off you need to get your barrings, this is essential and crucial to surviving! Hopefully you know the map, if not it's okay.
How to know where you are:
New spawners, with no exception, spawn at the cost, which is as South as possible
Trinity Docks - You're as East as you can get
Mel - As West as can be
Delve - Mostly West
Rinset - Fairly West
Petra - Fairly East
Barde - Mostly East
________________
So now you've got your barrings, time to head West! That's right, not North! Please do note:
Skip ALL towns, ESPECIALLY Delve!!!
See a player? Leave him! He's most likely just spawned, and he isn't worth the risk. Besides...he's just a bambi :3
Being chased? You have 3 options, either...
Run into a town, and ambush him
Take cover, and fight
Run from him, either run by Delve, got by it, double back-around, and you've most likely lost him OR run tell he gives up.
________________________
Once you've made your way to the West corner, head into Mel. Raid Mel. Remember, it's a costal town, meaning this dangerous. If you see a player, skip it.
Now, head North (North is opposite of the cost), you shall come across a Military Tent! Lucky you! Most likely has nothing, but there is a chance it'd have something good...just beware, you may be the 'good' for a bandit lurking.
Now, head North once more! You'll come across Irving! Please note:
This town has a Church, a popular attraction, LOTS of Zeds spawn at it!!! For YOUR best interest, and survival, SKIP IRVING!
If you raided it, good work, you're either dead or better equipped. Now, moving on...
Keep on North tell you hit Bide! This is where you get your Blood Bags! Now, hold your horses! Don't go walking in there! You must survey it, it's a fairly well crowded town with plenty of ambush opportunities and good reason to visit! Here is what to do:
Go to the nearest hill, look down, and around to make sure you're alone, and the town has only Zeds (Zeds are zombies). If there is no Zeds, it's most likely been raided, or IS being raided, if this is the case, skip it, can go back to it later. If you have Binoculars please DO use!
Now, get off the hill and do a full circle around the town. If you have a Mosin, Enfeild, or S.K.S., snipe Zeds off as you go around.
NOW, enter the town from the road from Irving, check your corners! Loot the hospital, and the other houses and warehouse. Now here's a VERY important thing: What to keep in your back-pack as you find:
2 Foods
2 Drinks
2 M.R.E.
1 Pain Killer ( Or more depending on if you're going into a city or raiding a group )
3 Blood Bags
Reset is ammo or up to you.

Now, once you've raided that town, good work! That's your second major success so far! (First is staying alive this long) Now, time to keep on North!
[OPTIONAL] - Raid Trek, be careful, as always.
Avoid Trinity Storage, for now.
Especially avoid Strive, it's the worse that Delve!

You've made it to Cheek Pits! Skip it. It's a favorite visiting place because it's the last North-West town, and it's called Cheek Pitts. So, now what?!? Well my favorite part, were you get Military Loot! No. Not M.A..
To Gus's house! Be VERY careful, a favorite bandit camp, and Zeds tend to hide in the hills, and it's the best place for Military loot as it is the least threatening but very profitable place for military weapons. Now, continuing our military loot journey...
To Solace! Why? Solace is just another town...but it also has a group of buildings literally 50 Studs away, with 2 military tents around! Those 2 tents almost always have good loot!
[OPTIONAL]- Raid the town. Check your corners, and, as always, be carefull!
Now, back to Gus's house, you never know, it may have something, but that's not the point. After making one last trip there head to Strad. Skip the town, check the fields! There's two wood towers alone the North side of the fields.
Once you've checked those head to Naft, if you haven't gotten those Blood Bags, get them from Naft, or refill on your 3, otherwise skip it!
Now you're well equipped for all sorts of manners! Here's what you do now depending on who you are:
Bandit:
Raid M.A., then if you're well equipped, raid the forest. Then head back to M.A., join / make a clan of bandits. If you're a bandit, TRUST IS ESSENTIAL, team up with people you've met before!
Civilian:
Get a group of people you think is trust able, smart, and at least know how to avoid Bandits.
Lone wolf:
Raid small towns, NEVER pass the Forest going South. AVOID people, especially groups, kill if they get within 200 Studs, UNLESS they don't see you, kill if you're in need, or you're being stalked, or you feel safer that way.
Survivalist:
Lead / Join a group, kill on sight, don't go to Amend, Strive, and Delve. Don't go to popular and unique locations such as the Boat, Churches, M.A., Forest, and-so-on-and-so-forth. Use the gun you're most skilled with! Pistols don't matter as much as they are for Zed killing.
USEFUL TIPS THAT WOULD SAVE YOUR LIFE OFTEN:
Use primary guns for humans! Depending on your approach in combat ( Sniper for example) use the most powerful gun for it ( S.K.S. I believe, if you're a sniper).
Pistols are for Zeds! NOT, humans! Use a CZ - 75 pistol, as it has 12 Shots, and it's common enough for you to maintain a steady amount of ammo, unlike G18s for example.
Avoid unique and populated areas! Such as Trinity Docks, Cost, Forest ( And anything south of it), Churches, Amend, Strive, Delve, and so-on-and-so-forth.
Head shots with Zeds! I CANNOT express how crucial this is, instead of blow 3 - 5 shots on a Zed, a head shot with ANY gun kill them, one hit!
Survey your options often! Pretty self - explainitory
Insure you have the upper hand in sneak attacks
Play is smart, play it fun, having freak attacks when shot or kill just makes you think stupid.
Don't take unnessecary risks or kills, or, deaths.
Someone actively hunting for you? Just server hop.
Not in a group? Don't EVEN bother with a car! Use a bike!
Going to build a fort? Choose a small town, a military encampment, or a remote location, don't build on hills, and build at least some-what close to a small town or gathering of buildings. Build it SMALL and out of sight if you're alone with a fort. Ensure you have the upper hand for the fort, in a town? Build a roof system!!! It is SO helpful!
^ Raid Trinity Storage for good building supplies.
Leave Guests, unless they got something you want.
Try to avoid people.
Any one man can get something good out of the forest, just raid one of the encampments on the sides of the forest.
You should have kept an eye on the chat, like I said, if you did, you should know who is who. Get a group with the most trustable people. Most people say no one you've not met before is trustable, and they'd leave the group and kill you. I never group with bandits, so this has only happened to me ONCE. Just ONCE since 1.0.
AVOID THE BUNKER.
Try not to visit Gus's house more than thrice a server.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Bottom line! TL;DR:
Travel up the West side of the map. Go North. Avoid people. Get food. Get water. Maintain an average amount of ammo. Stay. Alive.
