I smash my head against the shell repeatedly. |

The egg starts to crack and I almost fall out of my chair. As it hatches, a small soft green head pops out of the top of the egg. |

THe dragon crawls up my arm under my sleeve. I tryto shake it off. I grab it out and hold it by its arms and set it down on the table and lean back in my chair. |

I study the creature in front of me. |

I hear Shaun's footsteps coming down the hall towards my room. I quickly grab a shirt and stuff the dragon inside it and put it in the dresser. He opens the door and tells me the deer is ready. At the dinner table, after I finish, I grab a small piece of the meat and bring it to my room. I close the door and open the dresser. I drop the deer meat next to the baby dragon. |

The creature drops me in a nest, and then locks me in it. I make several agitated yelps, and then give up. I can smell multiple creatures, but then the creature brings me food. I eat the food hungrily, and sleep. |

I take out the dragon carefully and soften the shirt. I put the dragon in and then close the dresser slightly, but enough so he had air. |

I wake up and everything is black. I get up and yelp, hungry again. |

I hear a tiny yelp and fall off my thin bed. I groan and stand up slowly. I open the dresser slightly more and pull out the dragon, half expecting him to bite my finger. |

The creature pulls me out, and I bite the tip of its long limb. |

The bite seared. I pull the dragon off, and stuff it in one of my pockets. The small deer was gone, so we were going hunting. Already from that one meal, the dragon was about an inch longer. |
