It's overpriced for what it is. They need to just accept facts that it has become a primarily multiplayer driven game and charge it as such, about $20-$30. I also, unlike many people, find the DLC's price would be justifiable IF they didn't make a new CoD yearly. Seeing as it's Multiplayer Only they could potentially give hours upon hours of entertainment depending on the individual in question. Some people play the games enough to get MONTHS of time off of it. It would also be more justifiable if they added more than simply four maps and a gun or two.
Just sharing my opinions due to boredom.

"they make CoD yearly because of money"
Yes
I know
That's also why the charge it of a full priced game instead of what it is

I partially agree that it needs to become a cheap (possibly downloadable) yearly title rather than a full-priced game, but the system has some ridiculous flaws that need major fixing. |

Eh, I personally like the campaigns more than MP. I don't mind paying 20$ or 30$ for the singleplayer game modes. I personally think BO2 did change things up a bit, in a good way, too, but not to justify the 60$ price tag it will probably keep well until the next CoD title is released.
But yeah, maximum 30-ish dollars if it's just going to be a yearly release.

"thankfully IW left activision
so no more MW.
treyarch > infinity ward
at least treyarch added some originality with each game."
Yea
But personally I feel they should turn zombies into it's own game rather than an added minigame

@hansky
Yeah, Treyarch is a pretty decent CoD developer. I wouldn't mind if we had one CoD title every two years by them than a CoD title every year with Treyarch and IW alternating.

Though, same case with MW, I thought it's campaigns were ok.

I preferred the first 4 Call of duty games singleplayer. They had a grand feeling to them, like you really were just a generic solider in the Second world world. (Or modern war in the case of 4) Now your some, Popeye, Terminator Chuck Norris hybrid who can gun down armies by himself. Doesn't really matter honestly. It's clear that multiplayer is what makes all the money. Single player is a throwaway feature they add just to make the game look more complete. |

I still really like co-op and singleplayer campaigns more than random multiplayer deathmatches. |

No game has caused as much unhappiness for me as Call of Duty, I swear to you. |

Not starting a flame war here, but whats the deal with everyone hating on call of duty.
60$ USD is going to be your average, good graphics quality game if its made by a big company. That's just how it is.. The multiplayer is fun, It needs balancing but still. 20$ - 30$ Is half the price, which probably wouldn't cut it to pay the employees. The DLC is fine, it's optional, meaning there's absolutely no reason to buy it unless you want it. 15$ isn't even that much if you have a job and are making like, what 160$ a week?
3DS Games, Like DS ones and GBA are going to be less, becuase less resource, time, and money has to be put into them.
I like call of duty, terraria, garrys mod, league of legends, red alert etc, and i still find call of duty to be fun. oh,
@Asassin, I think playing some indie, non-rpg maker horror games will change your opinion. ;_; |

"good graphics quality"
lol just lol
"20$ - 30$ Is half the price, which probably wouldn't cut it to pay the employees."
CSGO, arguably better multiplayer than any CoD game and is only $15
It also has what you'd consider "good" graphics and is made by a large company
Explain how it works

Bills
Food
Clothing
Rent
Misc Items
Savings
Tools needed for job, depending on job
Entertainment
Entertainment is going to be the smallest of the budgets, if the person making the money has any common sense

@meld
Good graphics quality, look at an older shooter (world at war, idk.)
The fact that gabe newell is one of worlds top ten billionaire, i think they can afford to make the games lower priced.
160$ a week would mean living in a apartment of some sort, were the rent isn't no 700$ a month, Unless your buying huge quantities of food i don't think dinner for one person costs much, same with clothes, value world. Misc items being like a couch, bed, etc would be some of the first things, unless your not just starting a job its not like your going to need to put half your check into savings. "depending on job". Entertainment also would mean any sort of television or computer, which frankly a computer wouldn't be the last thing you need.
And the dlc "Can't join server becuase no have DLC huehue!" Was in WaW, i didn't buy any dlc for modern warfare 2, or any other call of duty i own and i never got that. |

"Good graphics quality, look at an older shooter (world at war, idk.)"
they look exactly the same
"The fact that gabe newell is one of worlds top ten billionaire, i think they can afford to make the games lower priced."
Activisions revenue c. 2008: $2.9 billion
VALVe Co.'s total equity c. 2012: $2.5 billion
Obviously Activision could make due without the $60 price tag knowing how many sales they make.
Also Gabe N. isn't even close to a billionaire.
"160$ a week would mean living in a apartment of some sort, were the rent isn't no 700$ a month, Unless your buying huge quantities of food i don't think dinner for one person costs much, same with clothes, value world. You're only proving my point that you know nothing of finances. It costs, on average, about $100 to feed one adult.
"And the dlc "Can't join server becuase no have DLC huehue!" Was in WaW, i didn't buy any dlc for modern warfare 2, or any other call of duty i own and i never got that."
Odd, as that happened literally all the time to me.

160$ a week = $17029 a year, not including overtime and time off
17k a year is unsustainable without government aid |
