They're more popular than their skill warrants, in my opinion. The Rev was a fantastic drummer, Synester Gates is a decent guitarist, but the rest of the band is just okay. Bands like Dream Theater don't get near the attention they should receive, given their technical playing level of, lets say "over 9000" |

@Crash I was referring to not receiving nearly enough attention from mainstream media, despite them not being an extreme group, and having a wide audience appeal. In the metal world Petrucci is recognized a the greatest guitarist or one of the greats to live |
