Well, one of my goals is to rely less on others and become more independent. I'm kinda looking for a job right now.

That may be the case, but you'll have to pay for the house. Your parents might help you buy the house, but they can't pay everything, and eventually you'll have to pay for everything yourself. Working at Mcdonalds won't be the best and is a very stressing place to work.
