Mi and Mx shouldn't write an essay.
No one wants to write a 500 word essay to get to a rank only to find out that they are belittled and aren't really that high. In TD's era no one had to write an essay, and the Mx ranks were fine.
H1's don't do stuff because they don't get jobs.
H2 is a joke.
People in the H3 position can handle themselves, because half our departments are for a specific job that can be done in a second. Half our departments are useless. We need to cut down on our departments and just have maybe one more Assistant. |

The problem is as easily stated as this: Lots of the High Ranks are novice leaders. They don't demand respect, they don't have a very powerful presence, and they don't have the epic qualities of a leader. Why are they quitting? Because they were never leader material. |

@Hockey, i think the very highest ranks don't have enough "face time" in UCR. There was a time when the 2nd in command was one of the most active people, shouting trainings and raids. It did well for the activeness and clan pride when you saw the 2nd in command at the raid, leading you to victory. But as it stands, the top 3 Highest ranking ranks (Besides president) don't call trainings. Instead we have a referral system. Therefor, it seems as if it's useless. At least to the lowest ranking member. |

No. you're all all wrong.
the problem is that EVERYTHING IS OVERCOMPLICATED.
You need to bring BACK SIMPLICITY WITH RESPONSIBILITY. There is a difference.
Cut down on departments, make the HRs have less dumb and mindless labor. Give the Mx rank more reason to feel important- Give captains and such responsibility over promotions and discipline. Reinstate the senate, which will work with captains. Abolish most departments unless stated otherwise by the senate.
the senate system tdfall established is what we need above anything else. That along with the restoration of Mx, and less stupid loops to go through. Instead make the officer rank direct appointment and invite ex-members/HRs with the free ride to Officer. Once there, they will be put to work. If they don't act mature or become a problem you demote them to rank 1. No warnings for those getting a free ride*.
If you do this, we'll see members return from quitting mindsets, we'll have more manpower to do things, and we'll have a decision making body that is chosen by mostly collegiate methods. |

That "idea" Is what saves UCR.
You all need to get it through your heads that you aren't as informed as you think. I've been studying all of this for a long long time enough to know what I'm talking about. |

I think you're right hacker. I remember when you were very highly ranked in UCR. I remember when i too, was a high rank. Back then it was simple, but not in a bad way. It was simple in a way that there were 2 high ranks, and 16-20 spots i believe.
You were chosen by the people and you had to earn a name for yourself. There were responsibilities like any other High rank, but it was condensed into 3-5 applicable heads. It was simple, effective, and it made a lot of sense.
I see too many people get turned off of UCR when you realize the amount of grueling, unnecessary work needed to be done just to become a mediocre High Rank with virtually no powers.
If we go back to the ways of our founding fathers, we'll find our place. We need to go back to 6 ranks, 2 HRs, and 1 president. Get rid of officer exams. Make it so you are hand chosen by the people, and by the president. |

Senators are given their rank for their ideas and their voice because we need that. We need the essence of democracy and a way to channel it.
Our senate system is the best in the clan world. We need to expand on it, not shut it down. The senate system for the most part needs to be instated to oversee reform whereas departments cannot do that at the best of their ability.
We need people to lead our military- they are called captains. TheNecessity is our top captain in my view, and we should allow a Senate body to decide the future of UCR's military. Parties aren't complicated, killer. Maybe to you they are, but they are simple.
Each party represents a general political understanding/stance and then acts accordingly to it. People can sign aboard to watch it's activities or even be on the Senate Lineup meaning that they are part of the senatorial body.
Each party presents it's own reform, and then the public can vote on it. in the past, popularity determined how senators were chosen, and the senators were only for gimmicks.
The senate system TD devised is perfect and solves a majority of our administrative deficiencies. |
