What's the deal with conventions and fedoras?

I don't get it. Nobody wears fedoras normally, but on conventions everyone has one. Not that I don't like fedoras, but I don't have one. Should I buy one? :o

I have a few fedoras but I rarely where them. I usually wear my shady business hat. Get that instead of a fedora it's better.

The roblox hat in question is a fedora. Also, what's really wierd is, on my way home today around 20 minutes after writing this thread there was a man wearing a dark fedora :O (No seriously, 100% honest) COINCIDENCE? I THINK NOT!

I was going to order a fedora to wear there, I thought it was pretty cool, plus it is a very known hat on ROBLOX. But it isn't my style, I thought I'd look a bit stupid wearing it.

Annoying right? I think fedoras look ridiculous in real life (the ROBLOX ones) my opinion though.
