You can't hack the dashboard: the dash itself is based upon the hardware. For example, the Kinect option will only show if you have Kinect connected. The Xbox One will not say " Ohmigosh, the operating system is totally under an other gaming console and is under different hardware! But i don't care, Xbox is the best thing ever and will work with anything! Even with Windows 95!"
I don't think so. Microsoft are stupid. They want to make Google look stupid because they "steal" ( even they dont ) your information, yet the console always need to be connected to Kinect to work and live perfectly and need to be connected to the Internet all the time to have maximum graphics. What the hell is this? |

If you get roblox on the xbox its gonna be way to easy to hack still. For you guys that know what a jtag is they have XeX menus wich eventually someone will come up with something to put in with that program for roblox. This will allow user to hack roblox and possible the account and site. I'm thinking keep it with Ipad and Computer. :) |

I did research, and that for JTAG and GLITCH enabled devices.
That "Dashlaunch" launch applications.
But... does the dashboard is an actual .xex? Is that just a bunch of components and ROM image files like the Android filesystem? Does it have CyanogenMod on it?
Nope. In fact, it's a bunch of filesystems. Freeboot, the JTAG dash remplacement, is runt under a shortcut placed on the first boot, install the board and reboot. Tada!
There is no thing ( similar ) as "dashboard.xex" or whatever
And i don't think that Xbox One will still use .xex
Just look: Nintendo DS files are .nds, 3DS files are .3ds, NES rom files are .NES and it go on. More even, Xbox One do not have backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games, nor even the downloaded XBLA ones that is usually found on Xbox Live.
That probably proove that Xbox One's dash and component will not support Xbox 360 or anything. If, magicly, Xbox One can be JTAGed and it's board is an .xex, it will anyway produce errors on the launch on a Xbox 360, whatever model it is. |

The only board which is an .xex is the old Blade board, which was 8 Megabyte. That, is, not big for a dashboard.

I could make a USB drive with a Kinect emulator on it and plug it into the xbox and the xbox would go "HEY LOOK A KINECT!!!" I could take a USB drive and put an Xbox HDD formatting on it and plug it in and start to install games onto the USB drive. Your comprehension of technology and how it works is mind bogglingly stupid.
You basically just said that I cant buy a Mac and then install Win95 on it, when in truth I could totally do that. |

1. I joined in 2010. I know it's only 3 years, but well.
2. I don't like arguments, or wars around CONSOLES (the worst thing ever)
3. I have a Wii, and all that i know is that the only hardware hacks that exist for it are drivechips. Everything around Software CAN be hacked, but not everything around hardware. And saying "Remplace Parts" is not easy as that: You need to check the PCB, the internal hardware, check if Starlet ( the processor ) can handle the PS3's Operating System requirements, If the Wii's Hollywood Motherboard ( go check it ) can be operated with a different, yet cool operating system. It's complicated.
Don't start a war and call everyone by names please. If i don't do that don't do that too.

There is also something called "Code Signing".
In fact, you can't "emulate" kinect using a USB drive, as Kinect use Hardware instead of files compressed on a flash drive.
Let's get back to Code Signing. Code Signing is like the "proof" that you have buyed the game. You can't say "Well, today i will put any games on a usb drive and the Xbox will not even check if it's been really buyed and play it anyway!"
To bypass Code Signing, you need to J-TAG the console, and use a different Dashboard application. Because a modified Dashboard will probably never include code sign verification process.

Yet it's technically possible that you install Windows 95 inside a Mac, it will not allow you. First, the Mac will warn you that "Your Version of "Windows" that you are trying to install on the Boot Camp Platform is too old, or is not listed in our list. Please try another, or contact Apple. "
Two, Windows 98 SE and older do not support 127.5 GB or more of Hard-Drive space. Seems that most macs have 500 GB, or even 1 TB of space.

Minecraft is different from Roblox. Roblox caches the entire place onto the RAM of the user, while Minecraft caches in chunks, allowing for computers with less RAM to run it better. Granted, a Roblox place (plus the needed .xex file, uncompressed) will probably never reach 512MBs of RAM, it would run fairly poorly due to RAM constraints, about iPad level. His-res textures are RAM-eaters, so less graphical "flair." Normal games also load in "chunks" normally divided by loading screens or levels. |

because the xbox 360 os does not suppport downloading from the web the your xbox's hard drive but if you enable cloud saving but you do need xbox live gold to do this then it will allow you to download it |
