Lately, it seems like everyone and their mothers have been putting short little phrases at the end of their posts known as signatures (or "siggy''s") pretty much every forum I have ever been on from the MC forums to my TF2 clan's forums have official support for forum signatures, allowing pictures, words, animated GIF's and occasionally video to automatically inserted at the end of a post.
Personally, I do t use signatures at the end of my forum posts and the unofficial signatures people use annoy me, mostly because its difficult to tell where their post starts ends and their signature starts. I am not saying you would need to add support for videos, gif's or links on the forums or in a potential signature feature, but maybe a section at the bottom of a post designated to the signature that is easily identifiable from the post itself and if possible, so that you can turn off signatures all together and not see them after a post. |

I don't even know why people even bother with the unofficial signatures.
We need more forum customizations and yes, official signatures. |

Some people want a siggy no matter what.

As super said, some people like to have their signatures.
Different people do different things to show signatures from the post.
In use, Super here has separated it by an empty space.
I've separated mine by 2 lines, and put it inside of a pair of ~>'s.
Some people put them in non-english characters, too.
As for the idea, meh. Don't care either way.

Well, if you want to make your signature stand out as one in your post, put a bit of extra icons. I use ~.

If I was quoting him for an argumentative purpose, then, yes.
Though that probably wasn't a question aimed at me.

Support, I'd like official signatures (possibly coloured text as well). I really don't want to go to the effort of...
A) Manually typing it in.
B) Using and installing a plug-in to do so.
C) Being dependent on a specific browser to use a siggy. |

Bumping this, just because I posted it last night when fewer people were on, and as the person above me said, if you want to use a signature now, it's a lot of trouble for something most people won't read or care about. |
